Can anyone share here his targets for the Gbp-Usd?
After the breakout of the pin bar's high for 90 pips~, what is a reasonable target now?

Just to make sure this is no typo! U got 45.000 pips since january ? 45 thousand ??

I mean 4.500 is a pretty good number so i am pretty sure u meant that right?

not broken yet but above ppz and overall @ nice location..swing low etc..

I don't think there's a worst pair to trade yet :]
It has been ranging for 4-5 months without any breakout and the daily & H4 charts look so ugly I won't spend a penny on it.
Just my 2 cents.

Here are 2 scenarios I may take (the red one has more value since the long term trend is going down).

you are absolutely right! the charts look ugly..but imho exactly because of the 4-5month range the pin bar (if it breaks) could be the start of an coninuation of this range..if it breaks i will think about entering with my target a little below the yearly pivotpoint @ around 1.0189..
we will see

hello urchman!

price action education is not learned on 1 day and pin bar setups also are something u have to learn setup after setup ..

i recommend u begin with this thread. study it thoroughly 2 or 3 times and then use the stuff u learned on demo for a while..if u then still not get the whole concept or are stuck with some things I recommend joining the j16group. take ur time and study at the pace of ur choice..but don`t think this is the holy grail or magic thing that will make u rich overnight..this is a very tough business isn`t it

Hi Urchman


Have you read the entire thread? It really is worth doing and no single post here will give you everything you need to know about it.

Once you learn to identify them you can take retrace entries at fib levels or clear support or resistance if you prefer.

Here is a Price Action course that is excellent. It cost $15,000. But it is well worth it. It provides continues education and many example on how to trade Price Action correctly. It's rather long and it takes time to learn and study it. Nothing worth its salt is easy. Yet, we know it is easy to understand. It just take practice.

Here it is. Its fantastic!. It cost $15,000 but its worth many times more . You'll be glad you did. Why? Because it WORKS!

Similar to you.

Letting stops take me out of the trade. Leaving LOTS and LOTS of breathing room. I'm more protective of my open positions than anything really. Trailing waay behind good PPZs etc.

One big difference though, is I'm not taking part profits at nearest res/supp anymore. Don't like the sums of doing that. ...Risking a certain amount and then halving my potential gains, which are supposed to make up for the losses in the first place. If I get further valid reasons I'm even adding to my positions now.
I'm getting more loss, Break Evens and puny profit trades, but the winners are much bigger and more than make up for it.

...The override is always PA. If it's strong enough.
Though, if something tells me I should be going the opposite direction 'right now' I won't close straight up. I'll set a stop order as a trigger for a reverse. That way, if it continues on in the original direction , I'll mostly be still in. No stress. ...it's nice to be pleasantly surprised when I check back sometimes.

(I do have other methods and setups on the side, btw, that require set targets. ....when I catch them in front of me. )

edit: I'm still a believer in "don't let a winner become a loser". I just don't classify anything a winner that I can set to BE until it has a nice buffer

as far as im concerned e ( many disagree with me and thats fine) this is getting started in this business the smart way. with all the currency pairs, currency futures, futures in general and a good selection of stocks its not just possible its probable that someone who learns pa and simple s/r and applies it to long term charts is going to be able to consistently grow an account.

This one caught my eyes and I figured some of the people don't have access to Quarterly graphs so it could be a good idea to post it.
The CAD has created a very beautifull PinBar at its bottom, problem is there are no signals what so ever {IMO} at any lower time frame to enter the LONG here.
So I am sharing this with you and hoping to hear some opinions about the setup and maybe future entry signals.

I agree Jim,

However I trade longer TF on forex since I cannot manage the deals.
I work full time as a commodities trader, trading nostro for my company.
In my private account I only trade FX, weeks and above, rarely i go daily there.

I am eager to know your opinion about that setup in the CAD if that is ok.

Didn't I catch anyone on this? I didn't even get a warning from one of the Monitors about a rules violation. Man, tough crowd.

I was just trying to make the point about the value of the James16 Chart Thread. So many people are looking for something to improve their trading or are just starting out in this business. And right here at the old Factory is something that cost nothing monetarily, but you have to put the time in and study it from the beginning.

Jim and so many others on this thread are just fantastic people. They give up their valuable time and help people who are willing to learn what PA is all about.

It's Priceless in my book.

nice one wish you a good ride.. even if i would not take trades below 4H price action..but thats probably lack of experience and or braveness
