Hi

I am having a problem with the lags which I was hoping someone could help with. For example on the 1 minute, the most my metatrader will record is 24 hours worth of lags.

As you can see this poses a problem for historical testing. I have been using the strategy for a month now but I can never go back more than a day on the 1 minute.

Look forward to anyone being able to shed a light on this.

use northfinance or odl and vhands to look at manual trading. sometimes depends on broker. search for vhands in ff search box great tool.

Freeka, go into the settings for the lag and under Inputs, increase the number of bars in MaxBars.

but the laguerr settings confuse me.
so many edition of lags settings.
can you confirm which seetins is final settings.

I was curious at what point does your short or long position effect the market? IE say I had 1M in a account with 1:100 margin. Say I bought 1500 lots (100,000) that would be 150,000,000 (ALL theoretical) would that position saturate the market? and affect it greatly? I guess the question is at what point does your position effect the market? Just curious, I def! dont have a million dollar account LOL!!

Imran is busy with pooled and managed accounts. He is using only this system and having 50% return a month minimal. The blue Lag should be set to 0.6 and the red Lag to 0.8

I have try to get your system but all in vain.. or let me say i don't know how or where to get it so i can read.

Hi Fabricio !

Que bueno saber que estas "condenado al exito" en el trading ! Seguramente entre todos aquí lo vamos a lograr facilmente.

You always go to trading counter any trend in any TFs, the question is if price have room for moving in any direction you see in lags in any TF you are trading ! As general rule, you can trade in favour of trend or counter trend. If you enter in direction of trend, then you have more chances to success if you enter at any ema retrace. If you trade counter trend, then you must do it far emas and wait for bounce any sup/res and for confirmation in price (eg: price far for 100 pips 60 ema and double top with bounce) look for any reversal pattern, especially if they occur in a higher TF as 15m or above.

For me, if lag1 in 15 go in direction of mi trade, then i go for it.

I calculate my TPs looking for lags and price rooms in higher TFs. Don't trade 1m TF counter 5m because moves are for 20-30 pips and it don't worth it. Search TP's for 90 or more pips and enter at 1m red lag with 5m lags confirmation in direction of 15m blue lag and be prepared for harvest 150 pips minimal !

For exit look red lags going down/up. If red lag in next higher TF go in direction of trade you can leave any lots for continuation, or exit with all and take a reentry at next 5m signal with more confidence.

For success in this you must understand in what mid term trend you are and trading in this way, entering in way of 5m signal with timing at 1m red lag in any ema retrace. Trend is given for lags, not emas. I use emas only for sup/res areas only for TP's or entries. If you enter at each signal in 5m blindly then be prepared for get stopped frequently

If you do this above, look "ALL" TFs for sup/res and lags for know in which wave are you and look for trades with good RR ratio (1:2 minimal), then and only then: YOU WILL BE CONDEMNED TO SUCCESS !!!

If you enter when 1m says "go" at bounce of ema or red lag starting move, and, put your SL 25-30 pips away. What would be your first (partial) TP?

This thread and very much practice and patience is all you need for success in trading, not only this system

If you want be successful then stick at this system and have perseverance, it worth it. Go at trading room after you had read entire thread. You must have knowledge about price action for trading this (and any system). At least they was steps i have taken.

Hi Sarah,

Price action is to see what if happen with price in itself. If you see 15m TF price is doing higher lows and highs this is a up trend, period. Look for bouncing at emas and reversal patterns (candle formations) It's difficult summarize all here, you will understand

I put a example. Look as price bounce off monthly pivot and it dont close above daily pivot or 60 ema in 30m TF (look at section between yellow lines). Below there is same section in 5m TF. Price has broken emas and lags given a signal for long. If you don't see higher TFs for price action you will take much of this are named false signals.

Price is tell us it can't cross neither daily pivot nor 200ema in 30m.

Ariel, thank you so much. That really is a great help. It's one thing knowing a concept or reading about it in a book and it's another thing seeing it applied.
