Great thread Malaysia!

Interesting discussion abt hedging. I'm not sure how one would term hedging strategies are like or supposed to be. But if we are unsure abt a position, hedging it does not make any difference from minimising size, i don't see much good in it other than taking advantage of implied volatility of the hedged instrument. This does not help in increasing profitability at all and may not decrease loss at the same time. Unless you are talking going long and short on the same currency, (imho, it does not really makes any sense to do such.)

I personally view hedges in a manner where i place a macro trade on a certain security/derivative/option following the daily trend, i let this position run for an indefinite period or until its technicals turn.

With a seperate broker, i'll make intraday trades on either positions depending on daylight action, if any positions were to get into a loss, most likely my macro hedge would have offsetted or reduced it and winning intraday trades would only add on to profitability. This will continue to work unless price trends decides to turn based on macro events.

Yep... Like I said... HEDGING is not recommended. The hardest Strategy to Master. Don't Do It! Just place SL wisely.

Testing 50% Median now Break that next stop is 61.8% Fibbo... Break that 100% Retracement. Break 100%... 161.8% Fibbo extension will become my Daily target.

However, If NO BREAK at 50%... UP we GO.

this is very good advice .

showing how big the pip or the account is not big deal, but to understand it can be done is the key. all this time i wondering around this forum i found out people talking about money management, entry, exit, technique, system..holy grail. now, there are some starting to understand the trader factor is equally important but still i think we left out something that is very important when you want to make money trading. when have time, i love to discuss discuss this with you all.
