Here comes that NFP BS again. Boy I remember those days where previous was +125 and forecast +150.

Bad news used to be +140 with cable falling 80 pips in the first minute...

Anything in the positive area confirms NFP being released from NYC's Le Cirque's kitchen.

well dutch,...i aint given any calls on NFP day,...it can be 104 and the next minute 99.66,...or 207 and then 199.20...wtf, just give us movements,...but brokers will take out stops, i guess before anything,...so i hope for a Fat spike to enter, and u?

This market reminds me of the kid who doesn't want to take his medicine and decides to hold his breath till the parent leaves, but eventually he's going to have to open his mouth and you know the nasty cod liver oil's coming.

Everyone should just play honest and say what really happened, but then they'd have to sell their yachts, apartments, etc. plus have people dumping their stocks. All a bit too messy, this truth thing, so instead we carry on with the charade. Hey look, it's not so bad, there's that helicopter guy again, we'll be liquid soon. Oh, no wait, its a sovereign wealth fund, see things are not so bad. America's cheap, don't worry, foreign companies love us, carry on!!

Fed officials play down rate cut expectations

For the second time this week, a senior Federal Reserve official conceded the United States economy could slip into recession, but suggested the central bank should wait to see if more rate cuts are needed.
"The economy has all but stalled and could contract over the first half of the year," San Francisco Federal Reserve President Janet Yellen, who is not a voter on the policy-setting committee in 2008, said on Thursday.
"Current indicators suggest that, starting in the fourth quarter, the economy, at best, slowed to a crawl," she said, adding later that the Fed is still battling a "negative feedback loop" of tight credit conditions, falling house prices and low consumer confidence.
Yellen's remarks, in a speech to the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, echoed those from Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke during testimony to a Congressional Joint Economic Committee on Wednesday.
