I'm not so good at hit and run, never like sport that involved running, so i struggle at how to handle hit and run positions, i get in and then think it go higher and so on until my SL gets hit, and as for selling against the trend, NO.

really i should learn to chase the odd 30-50pip trade, improve my skills.

Thats been my bread and butter this year so far. Big difference from last year when I could check my positions once a day and leave them open for more than a week. I have also been trading on the 1hr T.F 4hr as well.
This was hard for me at first because it was not my style. but since I have found that my winning trade % has gone up, The number of actual pips has gone up too since I don't have as many losses. And I can sleep better because nothing is open. I wouldn't say I am scalping, but more like intraday trading. But I would still prefer to trade off of the daily and weekly and add to positions than to TP and wait to go back in. But one must adjust to adverse conditions.

Well that sucks. I had to reinstall MT4. Which means I have to go through and put all of my templates back in manually. On a positive note I now have charts on Metals and Oil.

Why? if you changed broker you only needed to change some details in the settings

I didn't buy as i was concentrating on EU kept my long from 1.5300 so far, been in and out on a few other positions, but the MM has stopped me trading other pairs, waiting for my EU long from 1.5750 to lock in some pips and then i'm back on GU.

great month so far, still hard trading it though as we don't know what the banks are up to behind closed doors, still this only leads to better buy options i think.
Oops Sl hit will have to AH that one if price heads low enough

No I still have the same broker, just had to reinstall the charts, no connectivity. Plus having gold and oil will (should) help with the commodity pairs.

I am pretty suprised (maybe not) that Euro has been holding up pretty well, so far.

i'm back 4th time this month broadband has gone down - server keeps crashing.

2 positions closed out for a lose now

so how do i scalp this market, are we using the MA's and fibs for this, which TF. need to learn as this current market is doing my head in.

my entries have been great but i can't seem to close them, they go up and i think ok let it run, then down they come.

Blah Blah Blah, WTF

naked charts - so like i was helping someone apply fib's, finding highs and lows, when i noticed this on an older chart with just a few TL's

EU has moved back into a previous rising channel

Ok so thats of my chest feels better already.
I have been using the 1 hr T.F for scalping (I hate that word) and the 15 min. for more detail. (I had to bring back the 15 min) Same rules apply. wait for a retrace, put a fib on it and wait for the short or long fib levels, or the ma cross go in with a T.P at T1. Sure it may go to T2 or even 100%. But by setting a T.P a few pips in front of T1 you will have at least 30 to 50 pips. Call it a day and do it again tommorow.

Use the daily, 4hr to confirm direction, if its range then use the 1hr for latest trend and 15 min to trade after retrace.

Ok, I see a slight bearish movement on EU. GU already turned.


Ok, TP hit on EU for 241 pips. I see $ strength all charts. Went short on EU (small position) and went long on EU/CHF.

No, I asking you, what does this mean?
well since I'm the only one here I'll answer your question BWR. It means gold hit a resistance level and failed to close above it signaling that gold may drop down even further and if gold drops then swissy drops and if swissy drops then the dollar should raise (should) however it also means that gold could be consolidating and will decide on it's direction at a later date and time. Blah, ba blah ba freaking blah.
