When you are doing forward testing. Adjust the stop loss based on the volatility of the pair. Like G/J will require higher stop loss then other pair..

to my mind the results are very encouraging.

I ran it only in the morning as in the afternoon I managed to svrew up the EA with an older version which did not auto execute.

The one loss I believe can now be filtered with the ADX.

I asked Skyscraper for some improvements which I think should not pose a problem and once he agrees to do them and they will be ready it would be easier to report to you on each trade.

Let us continue to work together to make money for all of us.

You are the expert in this. Therefore it would be apppreciated if you suggested teh stop losses you are suggesting for the list of pairs I am testing. Please.

Tadinda,

I am going to be concentrating more on exits over the next couple of days as I have a few ideas that should help.

As a rough idea what do you expect to get out of trading i.e. how many pips a day.

If Skyscraper could post thought that would be great too.

Quite agree.

May I suggest you ran your tests without the ADX component and I run mine with the ADX component. At the end of teh day we should eb able to compare notes.

Hi All,

My first and natural answer would be as much as possible. Obviously.

I must confess why I have failed in trading so far. It is becasue I always fail to take profits and let profitable trades run into unprofitable ones.

I think that as an option we may have to use the resources we already have. I think the magic words were cited by yourself earlier. A reverse indicator.

From my understanding the EA is making the following tests.

1. Testing a cross of EMA's
2. Testing the Lag above or below a certain figure
3. Testing MACD at zero.
4. Now with the ADX, we are testing direction of the Trade and the position or quality of the Main Line ADX.

If I am correct in the above, I think all of these can be reversed. Certainly we would be falling I think into the trap of retracements. However, and I say this knowing that I am technically ignorant, that is a mathematical equation.

Hope this post generates all sorts of replies. Even P.... Off and F.... Offs. Do not mind as long as a discussion of ideas gets going so that we will find solutions.

Hello Al,

Attached is the template.

Although I have left teh ADX indicator on it, it will not effect teh workings of the EA. That is this is the old EA of Skyscraper.

Also I have set it up to auto trade for you without manual confirmation and to supply you with alerts.

Attached is the Modified EA Version 1 with ADX Filter.

ADXFilter = true then it will use ADX logic.
ADXFilter=false then it will not use ADX logic.

Also some have pivot points and others do not!

Please follow teh Thread since yesterday. We are now working with a new EA from Skyscraper. The snapshot is something he may be willing to work on.

Suggest you follow recent posts and if you still have problems let me know.

By teh way this EA autotrades as well.

Great Al,

I just downloaded the updated version from Skyscraper and am installing it in all my charts and will get going with testing especially tomorrow.

Let us hope we will have some great results to compare tomorrow evening.

As you will be able to see this method allows multiple entries on the same trend.

Meaning that if you close out a trade to early you can get in on a second wave.

I have had a look back a long way and it seems to be effective.

In addition I am also quite careful around current lows and support/resistance for the day in conjunction with the pivot points and r1 r2 s1 s2 etc.

1) Do you have the candle formulas (e.g candle name)

Im using EOD.

2) Do you have any idea or experience with parameter setting for EOD trading ?

Hi Tadinda, and others

Yeah, noticed some activity , Im behind reading ..

The code where InvestorTrend is defined has not changed in the new EA.
Was wandering if the crossovers made any difference, as I argued in page 98

I believe the crossover definition as stated in mq4 is wrong, but hey, its just me

Any ideas ?.

Your suggestion regarding drawling line between TP and SL. it should be with EA. Run it till tomorrow and give me all your feedback.
