The major European indices closed the session with gains of at least 3%. London's FTSE closed up 3.5% and France's CAC 40 posted a 3.4% gain. Both the FTSE and the CAC are underperforming the S&P 500 year-to date. The FTSE is down 13.2% and the CAC has slipped 18.4%, compared with the S&P 500's 10.6% slide.

And I thought we were they only ones taking a dive this year.

Could this event turn out to so nasty it will be on our lips until next year?

Does actually someone out there see any light in the end of this mile long tunnel ?

How much hope does big investors have in dollar this days, and for the next years?

(Apologies, someone had to be ze drama-queen at this event and blaze it even more up)

Reality is that investors / governments have lost faith in the $. It is so bad that the US Embassy in Dubai asked the Government of Dubai not to de-peg their currency from the $. They said they would hold off until the end of the year and re-evaluate the situation.

What we are witnessing in the stock market are wishful thinkers / greed taking over. Do they really care? Not really, knowing that big brother is there to bail them out.

I want sharks too. Lasers give me a headache (flashbacks) but I'm cool with sharks.

We did see the first sign of fear when different countries refused to take paid in dollar when selling oil.

Well I do give them credit for staying positive in this days :
