To my tiny mind it makes no sense. If I put a long on cable at 1.98 believing its going up, then why should i stop myself out at 1.97 just because I was a bit premature on the move ? Premature is not the same as wrong. A lot of manufacturers go bust by being 'ahead of their time'

So I use enough margin to ride out the dips

I guess one day I will get decimated but the ultimate stop is the margin call... never had one yet but the biggest mistake would be to increase the account balance with success as it could get wiped out one day - keep it the same level is best.

Dude (and yes I realize you're not male), if we can't get some entertainment for all this stress then we would be getting ripped off worse than Spitzer. And he got ripped off pretty bad I tell you.

Whoever it was who told me I couldn't stay away from the market till the end of the month, was dead right. Kudos my friend, you win. I can be very disciplined, yes, but when I see entries on the charts I can't keep away! ARRRGHH! Somebody uninstal my platform, I can't do it, my fingers..they don't obey :'(

Interest rate time......FF saids .75, I think 1 full point will do with a .75 discount window cut.

Any thoughts?????

As the credit crunch worsens, the Federal Reserve is becoming more imaginative in its tactics. Wall Street is now betting on a full-point cut in interest rates, to 2%, when the Fed meets Tuesday.

This is something to watch: how will the markets react to negative interest rates (inflation discounted).

Here in Brazil, analysts are calling for drop in the commodities. End of speculative action, start of the selloff due to US recession and, possibly, global slowdown...

Out to the gym to short some pounds

I don't know. I would imagine that the big boys would want to push up prices due to a weak $. Let's see how this plays out. As far the oil producers are concerned, they are happy.
