Long at 2919 would've got me 27 pips now. I've thrown the rule book out of the window now. At least my 2946 is at break even now.

Balance $1246. Equity $815. Profit if exiting all now gives a profit of $431 on a starting balance of $500. I make that growth of 86% since December 21st 2006. Anyone disagree? I haven't a clue. It'll start to get more interesting soon. I feel a short coming on.

I will short again if it goes back to 2950. Add to a losing position? Shouldn't do that, should you? Don't ask me. You know why.

2958 exited for 10. And I now get an error message every time I post but the post appears. Anybody else getting that at the moment?

I liked it at 2940 short so I love it now. Value. Another short soon if it hits 2966.

Exited 2946 long for 10.

2956 short exited for 4. Now net long again 3-2.

I took only 4 on that one but at 2966 I will short again as long as Bernanke is still talking.

Will I make the 100? 2940 and 2945 at a loss of 6 and 1 so I've got a chance.

Pivot : 2931 Target 298. Bouncing off a rising trend line & the 30-min RSI has broken above a declining trend line.

Doesn't it depend on when you actually get a margin call? you already showed us you could go into negative margin, so your profitability if it all went bums up now would depend on how far into negative margin you could boldly go.

A real gambling guru would have gone in with 100k though.

Nice to see you again Gmak. The primary goal is the string length. The profit is secondary. As I've said before there WILL be a margin call. It's really just a question of when. However, if a miracle happens and I get up to an amount I'd be uncomfortable losing - say $500,000 which will be a miracle - then I'd call it a day and send half the profit to the UK charity I mentioned near the start of this thread.

So I'm prepared to lose a large amount if I didn't have it in the first place. I didn't come in with a 100k start though because that would have influenced my trading. And it remains to be seen how I'll act when - or if - I get near that figure. Frankly, I'm a little surprised I'm still here. As are most, including yourself, I would imagine. I do gamble professionally, though, so I think I'll be able to handle it. And there's a few other little forex trades that are performing modestly with a slightly different style. But they'd be dull to post here and aren't relevant anyway.

My sentiments entirely Benf - nice to see you here. The new moon also foresees a drop first though. I'm a Moon in Capricorn which makes me a little insensitive and unperceptive of others feelings. Others may view me cold and calculating.
