Has anyone else noticed the momentum of the GBP/JPY since 1/7/06? It has gone up almost 1000 pips in just 10 days!!!! Just 1 lot of 100,000 would have brought in almost $10,000!!! That's insane!!! Somebody made some moolah off of that one for sure.

I was mad I was stuck in a demo. Someone posted about what happened after the last BOE rate hike, so I found a trendline, surfed it for two days. Almost 200 pips.

Live and learn, if there's only one trade to ever do....

stick with it , maybe hedge by shorting CHFJPY, and collect the swap!

the fundamentals are perfect for a break of 240, next stop 249.33, look at the monthly chart.

I MISSED OUT ON THE TRADE!!!

I was so focused in on the USD/JPY and taking a look at the GBP/USD I forgot all about this beast.

Newbie mistake....but I'm learning.

In the end though, I stil made that $$$$

there'll undoubtedly be profit taking and a retrace but fundies will drive this much higher IMO. there is now sufficient doubt that BoJ may hold rates longer term and that BOE may raise again next month. long live the UK shopper!

yes, but I'm not too fussed as I'm short CHFJPY with a ration of 2:1, so drawdown is limited, just collecting swap long term.

I just looked at that pair for the first time. That pair has been in a serious bull run since June of 2005 with only one small retracement in Nov/Dec of 2005.
