It ain't worth it. I was trying to cut out a loss right before the ISM (my fault for holding it) but they cut their servers out for about 2 minutes, and I couldn't get out. Then everything gapped and it ended up costing me an extra 65 pips. Again, this was my fault for holding through a release, but come on. The mini servers didn't go down! It's pure BS. No gaps on mini servers either.

Thanks for this info. I am not trying to find any blame, I am trying to determine if I should look elsewhere. I wanted to test some of my programming in mt4 on a live account. I have until now just used MT4 for charting, but maybe I should reconsider even that. These are your first hand experiences?

I suppose I can always go back to my copy of Ami Broker, and use a DDE or esignal. I just happened to like the way the MT4 is programmed, much like c++. I also have a copy of trade Station 2000i I guess I could dust off and learn easy language. LOL Oh well

I've been out the game for a couple of weeks, but I'll be firing up my IBFX mini-live account this week. I'll let you all know if I have any problems.

(I take it the problem is not on the mini-servers?)

What is the largest account balance that they allow for a mini?

$50,000.00...I believe...but do double check that with them.

Hey Scott,

I've definitely noticed some delays on occasion since their main liquidity provider fell foul of the NFA. It was an obvious change in execution reliability anyway. (...Speed-wise)

This doesn't effect my style of trading much. A pip or two every now and then. So I put up with it.

The server outages seemed to have improved since. (Of course, I'm not on 24 hrs a day.)

My personal opinion is it's temporary. Maybe a technical issue, or their current providers are giving them hassles/delays.

My reason for joining them was similar to what you mentioned ...Their live feed and for playing with EA's. LOL
...Also thought it'd be handy to chart and trade the same feed for once.

To tell you the truth , until they clean this all up I'm not totally comfortable recommending them.. ...For now. Until they DO clean this up.

Happy to keep my account open with them. (Though this one is small anyway. )

Trading went fine for me today on my IBFX mini account, but I will keep looking for problems.

Same for me, on the Mini.

I should clarify inaccurate info from someone above. The maximum DEPOSIT is $50k, but you can have any amount in your mini account according to IBFX. So just do several wires for $50k at a time if that's the issue. I can attest to this personally.

SMJones, yeah, everything I wrote is first hand experience.

My standard still lagged today, but not as bad. I could attribute it to market conditions overall. I still think IBFX is probably the best MT4 broker around, at this point. Of course, take that with a grain of salt.
