Yes, I think we all learned a lesson for yesterday - DON'T TRADE EA's on days one of the major markets are closed. So if London or USA is closed it might be a good idea to turn ANY EA off on those days.

Yep you are totally right. When i watched the chart on EJ for example for yesterday, there was a lot of whipsaw. I did not trade live.

BTW, i think there might be a logic problem on the EA (at least ver 1.5)

Check the attached chart, sometime it will take a reverse trade, sometime it will take a trade when there is no signal, sometime it will not take trade when there is a signal...

Quite right I've been taking some large losses on both versions. What are the best settings in terms of Stop losses and Take profit for 1.4 ?

Neil, I've noticed that when I put both EA's on at the same time using GBP/JBY I sometimes get an opposite trade at the same time. i.e. one buys and one sells. Can you explain this ? This is a major concern even though it is hedged.

Also what is the best time to switch the EA on ?? What do you suggest ?

I use Interbank FX and they are an hour behind compared with Oanda's time zone calculator. Does this mean that I should change my Starting time to 9 GMT ??

Check your settings and restore the to default. I looks like it is trying to open trades at 1 when it should be 4. Also it is known that it does not work well on NZDUSD - I wouldn't trade it on that particular pair. Stick with GPGJPY and USDJPY.

0 & 23 GMT were the best setting when doing backtesting (on all the time).

It shouldn't be opening up HEDGE trades. It has a routine to check if there is a trade open for that MagicNumber and if so does not continue to open another trade.

The signal should be on 15min chart (not 30min).

It's just not going to cooperate.

Have started working on a new system - starting a new thread to get rid of the "Stochastic Oscillator" stigma in the title since it doesn't really apply.

I had to remove the indi from my MT4 folder because it was crashing the app (so the EA now cannot trade anyway) when i was changing the TF...
