What settings do you use in your Stochastic Osscillator when reading candlestick patterns to determe if it's in the oversold or overbought zone?

The only reliable thing an oscillator can offer you is psychological reading. Cross overs, 20/80, 30/70, is all hindsight at best.

Check out,

I believe George C Lane liked to use 21,3,3 because it worked over a longer period and removed a lot of market "noise"

All the best

Also if your really keen, you can visit the "official" George C Lane Stochastic's website where you can purchase all sorts of video's/books on the topic.

www.lanestochastics.com

Be careful with oscillators as such, don't try to pick tops and bottoms with them, it DOES NOT work in trending markets. However ranging markets, they can be put to good use.

All the best.
