He is referring to the Arrows on the chart. He is using the ASC Imran trend.mq4.

Hi All,

Here is a new simple text signals for Lags. It makes very easy to know the signals/status of the current two lags (but cannot be used for historic testing). It uses MA2/MA6 Lag crossing along with 0.15/0.85 levels.

The Input details:
gamma1, gamma2 are obvious (defaults are 0.5 and 0.8).
TimeFrame1 = 0; (0= current chart timeframe; negative number = next higher timeframe; any higher TF can be used).
EMA_Period = 60; (used for watching EMA-Slope).
UseClosedBars=true; (all based on closed bars; good way to do).
UseStoch = false; (instead of Lags, Stoch can be watched; the two Stoch used are 10,3,3 and 30,9,9 with H/L price).
TextPositionX, TextPositionY can be changed to place the text in any part of the chart.

The Text/Color details:
For Lags (and Stoch):
"up"/"dn" = Early stage of a move (not crossed mid level).
"Up"/"Dn" = Mid stage of a move (crossed mid level).
"UP"/"DN" = Final stage of a move or major Trend Move (crossed final level).
Blue/Red - Both in agreement. Khaki - disagreement.

For EMA-Slope:
"up"/"dn" = Weak slope/move (slope less than 1 pip/bar).
"UP"/"DN" = Reasonable slope/move (slope more than 1 pip/bar).
[not accurate across various Timeframes, just an approximation]

Hope this provides a simple way to monitor than staring at the lines. Welcome any feedbacks (please post feedback/questions in my thread).

Hi Goodbadmas,

Here is a chart with the Lag-Watcher working. This is in EJ right now.

You can see that the Lags are agreeing on downside (but EMA-slope is not agreeing yet; it is pointing weak upside). Lag1(0.5) reached the extreme, but Lag2(0.8) just started to move down.

CAUTION: In sideways market they can change quite often and fast. This is not the problem of this indicator, general problem with any indicator.

EDIT: The Lag status changed within a few minutes and the new status is shown in the second chart.
EDIT: The third chart is GBPUSD. It shows all in agreement.

LaGuerre 1 ( for entry ) - Gamma 0.55, levels 0.15, 0.85,0.45 bars to read 9500 color green
LaGuerre 2 ( for exits ) - Gamma 0.85, levels 0.15, 0.85, 0.45 bars to read 9500, color red

For the Lags Enable Fixed maximum (~1.05) and fixed minimum (~-0.05) on in the Common tab of the Laguerre indicator

Last I heard the Lag settings were 0.6 and 0.8 for GBPJPY.

Kimmy, the current lag settings are .60 for lag 1 and .80 for lag 2. Imran always keeps the current settings and indicators on the first post on the first page. He updates it if there are any changes. The indicators and template with the correct settings are there.

lag settings for one-minute chart are .25 and .40

.6 and .8 for the other time frames.

just copy them into the indicator folder, open them in the mq4 editor that's bundled with ur mt4 and compile each of the indicators.

Alaikum Salam, alanaz!

Where ever you have them right now, possibly your desktop, mark them all, right click on them and select "copy". Then go into your "explore" by rightclicking the startbutton of your windows and then find your programs/MT4brokerwhatevername/experts/indicators folder and rightclick into the space on the right and select "paste".
Then close your MT4 platform and restart it. They should then all show in the Navigator window.
