...In fact stop thinking in account balance targets full stop!
Been there, rarely do it now!! It's hard not to see brick walls at round number balances etc. (Or the big one... the previous record high!! LOL).
The only thing I evaluate now (or most of the time!) is how well I executed the last trade. My DDE-linked spreadsheet has my balance in it and tells me how many lots to trade to risk that %1. I don't have to concetrate on that balance so often.
...of course I occasionly lose that fight for self control. (Nearly always when I'm tired , actually!!)
You're going to get there. All I see you doing wrong is over trading sometimes. Looking for trades so you can meet deadlines or something.

although I have been waiting for it... it has been my divergence trade idea for a long time now... seeking light was not going to sway me this time... I will study to see if there is still a chance to get in on it... I am however happily long on USD/CHF... !!! Also long standing divergence trade... I have been in there for a couple of days now...I didn't want to comment yesterday so you don't start questioning yourself, but it's always good to wait for bar confirmation before you jump in, unless you know your risk and are aggressive trader....

I think it will probably go further down... quite sure of it in fact... but last night, my mood was to get in and get out quick... and so I did... +67 pips adding 0.5% back to my account...

I also am Long on GBP/JPY from that last daily Pin Bar... Target is end of the zone... we are alomst there... What's next...?? Well, I still have my LONG pending order here... 214.50 - 216.00 that will put us right at the 800 sma.... I belive we will get there... when it does, i will have reclaimed another 3% back to my account...!!
... watch the dow and chfs for clues.. !!! I'm just getting back in the saddle again.....you might get your wish here with u/ch as I'm looking forward to fiber collapse...
