Yea, would like the DJI to break that "step" channel and just fall...however, slightly worried we may not...or at least not in the massive steps I'd love to see this happen

Since Jim just sent a mail around about it and the fact that it hasn't even been a week when we discussed this very thing, I felt this was worth showing everyone.

Just with the stuff we've got in this thread alone, together with some of the more in depth stuff we do on the site, you can go from feeling like a "sideway mess" to "love sideway trading" when looking at a chart.


Look. Boundaries, setups, ride to next boundary. Cash in, repeat.

What a great example of PA in action. We just discussed this very chart last Thursday and here it is all again, doing the same things over, and over, and over..

I will never forget how this thread has changed my perspective from just seeing forests of bars to actually seeing things happen on my charts..for me, this changed everything.

Nice chart SL, really illustrates ppz's well. I'm looking for price action on the dailies to get in long the euro again.

I cashed in already on that BEOB on EURUSD... beautiful trade... and we had a flag on 1H last night that I entered to front run the break on the BEOB...

PPZ= Price Pivot Zone. The term used by us to describe areas of support and resistance.

It stands for Price Pivot Zone.
It's basically a price zone(area) that acts as both support and resistance.

These can be a very important thing to be aware of.

How does one find out ppz's? Is it same as pivot levels?

I am sure this has been discussed elsewhere. So if you could point me to the right location please?

Nice chart. Looks easy, sounds easy.... but it ain't easy. Well i guess the eur/usd daily chart has been obeying the guidelines of price action recently however there are an equal amount of examples in my view where a pair has ingnored PA and gone it's own path. For me at this point it all comes down to discretion... which PA trade did you take and why? And why did you not take certain other PA setups?

In the end it is not a matter of finding PA on charts but taking either a select few that appeal to you. How you choose which ones is still a mystery to me. Stupid discretion...

Ironic to see what the last few posts were about, as I just spent an hour talking about PA and PPZ(in a J16 Skype/Screensharing session)...sadly the audio didn't record and now it's video only

But I will make seperate videos on it again, because I don't want the 5 people that showed up to the session to be the only ones having had a chance to see and hear it

i've just started to go through this MASSIVE thread right from the beginning (though i've read this thread in bits and pieces previously).

so from what little i've gone through, am i right to say with all confluences being constant it would appear that the 'PinBar' and 'Double/Triple Bar HiLo Close' which is sort of like a 2/3-Bar PinBar seems to be most reliable ?

i understand that these formations are best traded off the Daily or 4 Hour timeframes but has anyone tried them with any degree of reliability on lower timeframes like the 1 Hour or 3 Hour (an Oanda anomaly) ?
