I still dont feel this pair, I want to get long but everything I look at says not too. I hate days like this. Here is a chart.

It is, and the market almost took all the week into this madness behaviour. Touch it, you will probably be burnt. I did touch it! ouch! Tomorrow's the NFP news is coming which is also not recommended to trade. I'll be probably staying sideline until Monday.

Good idea on the pet! No lie, I started going to the gym, cooking, playing drums, and still do some IT work when it's really slow. Then you come into the market fresh and ready to go. I used to work 12-14 hours a day trading 10+ trades and my goal was 3-5 ES points. It sucked, I was burned out and it was the worst job I ever had. Do the 4hr and don't push trades, they work they have been shown to work and they will always work because of the time frame. Also if you miss a trade don't push one because you felt left out, you will get more. I have found out that most trades if I don't feel good about it I just walk away, if I was right I smile just like this GBPUSD setup. If there was no news you could bet I would be all over this.
well off to sleep.p.s. I still watch this market about 16 hrs a day but posting here takes more time then I spend on the charts.

Ryan, I saw where you started trading in 2000.
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?
It is interesting, because age helps bring about a level of confidence and a calming effect as well.
I am 29 1/2. I just got into trading 6 months ago, but have only been live for 3 months. I learn so much from this thread and even just so much from your posts, I really appreciate you spending your time here.
Hello Dear unlv_tj and Ryanmcd, totally agree with your comment unlv_tj on Ryanmcd posts.
I just like them a lot because I see a lot of thruth in them. Ryanmcd, you are really a great professional trader in my eyes and certainely one (as Phillip, Parlmer and some others) where one need to take time and read all your posts.
BTW, that is exactly what I am doing now for the last 3 hours.
Your sharing your experience about how your trade is really invaluable.

As a humour note, turned 35 years old and trading live since 1 1/2 and have already blown 2 accounts (not big ones though) and still not profitable at all.
However, having a strong determination to succeed and really treating trading as a business, I am really determined to be part of 5% consistent winners.

Not to argue about age, but it has nothing to do with it. Tiger Woods was great at a young age b/c he hit thousands of golf balls a day for years... Great traders likewise have put in their swings (losses for year). What's great about this group, is they share they tips/tricks and we're not in competition (except with ourselves).... Fortunately we still have to learn to swing ourselves.... Otherwise it would be boring
!! Going to be 20 in May. My goal is to be a professional trader when I get to the age of 20s. I still have much to learn.

Hi Palmer, I did some research on the thread and found the transcripts of Phillip's lessons on page 395 post 5924 and 5925, 5926.
I think I'm done for the month, I didn't trade yesterday due to the news, today I don't feel the rhythm and tomorrow news again.
I'm + 354 pips for the month, thank you Phillip!!!

Yep, Bshadroo i think you are right, i think it could go long, so if RR will be good, i would place my first TP 20-25 pips from the entry and move to BE 2° TP at 14890, my 3rd contract will be left to his destiny and if will pass resistance a lot of pips in my pocket!
