greetings,

wonder why...the ea on my chart not smiling, while i've attach the ea accordingly. i'm using ibfx pltform. does anybody else have the same problem, or its just me..?

help needed

Hi pips pirate,

Please make sure that you have activitated the expert advisor button on the tool bar and ahve checked the box which allow the EA to process live trading (press F7 and click the "common" tab)

My situation is same as yours. The EA just provided alert signals but not entering into any orders automtically. I think the EA is not completed yet, as it should include parameters such as trade lot size and EA magic number.

As explain before, EA have a very conservative money management,
only use 1% of Account Balance, and didn't open any trade while already have one or more open position.

Magic number automatically generate by system.

At this time, i prefer not to give chance to stop the comment / print to expert log.
Yes, right, is print every single ticks.

I need it to track the indicator and EA, cause don't want different happened between EA and indicator

One potential problem with the MagicNumber.

Current magic number ends in 1.0.5 when you go to 1.0.6 the EA will no longer control any current orders placed by the previous EA it will be controling ones ending with 1.0.6.

My first trade opened and is still open (at the time of this post). On the attached picture, could you comment how come the trade did not close at Point A? Is this a problem? Does the EA have different rules than the manual rules? My understanding of when to close was:

b. SELL signal, while RED line just cross GREEN line and RED line just above GREEN line
c. EXIT BUY, if GREEN line turn back to south, although it's still above RED line
d. same to EXIT SELL.

Some more feedback. The alert window has popped up a number of times but the EA does not usually enter a trade. I realize you said the EA can only enter one trade at a time but there are no trades open and still no new trade taken. I am showing the window below. I am also showing parts of the experts log to match the last 3 entries in the popup window which are show at the top. The last entry entered a SHORT trade on GBPUSD the previous two did not. The log says "Trade Not allowed SELL, please check EA or MT4 setting" but with no adjustment at a later time it opened a short trade.

Is this normal or do I have a setting issue or is it a bug in the EA?

In this EA Magic Number did not use current version of EA,
You can saw Magic Number at nvwine post.

So this is no problem, while you use another new version of this EA to control you order already placed by previous version.

By the way, the expert log is also for me to track what the EA do and what setting user choose for their trading style. It's simple enough for tracking.

Alert window pop up, is the real signal from EA, not mention your platform allow to trade or not.

Yes, you are righ and very clear about "only one trade at a time"
This also mean this rule is for all pairs in one platform running BornToWin(168)EA. We can say "Only one trade for one account".

The trade to SHORT on GBPUSD didn't done is because of this

My first trade opened and is still open (at the time of this post). On the attached picture, could you comment how come the trade did not close at Point A? Is this a problem? Does the EA have different rules than the manual rules? My understanding of when to close was:

Update: the trade closed at the stoploss shown in the screenshot shortly after the interest rate statement.

I got some queries from MT4 log,

Sometimes, while platform is busy, or another EA still take trading action,
then platform didn't allow another trading action at the same time.
This is also may happened for manual trading, similar to
"Requote" — price changed during preparation of a trade operation;
usually happened when market is peak.
Then trader must to requote after few seconds.

Below is description from MQL4 reference :

function IsTradeAllowed()
Returns TRUE if the expert is allowed to trade and a thread for trading is not occupied, otherwise returns FALSE.

Can someone explain what is the real happened behind the platform ?

With one open position, this is too slow for me !

BTW,

Your EA should not strict to very tight money management.
Trader have their own comfort risk to take !

May i suggest your EA give us more flexibility of risk to open position ?

This is up to you !

Watching the i_trend on the 1m chart(cable) during london session to cross is good for atleast 5 + pips.
Any thoughts?
