Hello guys,

do you think it's wise to share a succesfull strategy (coded in EA) or it is better to keep it for your own use?
In some logic it's OK to share with general public so more people have influence on the market. But on the other hand it's better to keep it secret and sell signals, pamm account, ... - but very hard to find investors i see now.

I can't decide

Heh, considering the account balance this floating drawdown is no problem, especially because it's a part of the strategy and under control. The USDJPY positions are set on weekly timeframe. So in a week or two it will be in profit.

1st thing retail traders have no influence on the market unless you are trading 100 mil. Even then you will get squashed.
2nd I think keep it to yourself untill you can show 12months in a live account. If its a success sell as an account manager or signal. Or sell the EA.

Sharing a strategy is a completely moot point.

If it is shared and is popular by a huge number of people, including those taking large positions, then the direct result of those traders acting upon a similar strategy will just reinforce the results, as the market will respond as expected by those acting upon very similar signals.

It's the reason I use the standard settings for Ichimoku, as I feel it's very likely that more people use the default settings and therefore, act (react?) upon the same signals that I would see. This also goes for the measurement squad, with their lines, fibs, s/r levels - if the likelihood of the measurements being more obvious (and therefore more people will use the same ones), then the resultant expectations/analysis/reactions will push the market in similar places.

This is actually good, as a more consistent and technically-responsive market is exactly what I prefer, vs the vague 'nuances' of fundamental noise.

Given the huge numbers of players in this game, the different reasons behind taking trades and the various 'systems' and analysis that goes on...it hardly matters who knows what other people are using. But I imagine there will always be those that feel the need to protect their precious high-quality strategy/system. *shrug*
