The trader's lawyers are saying he did nothing illegal and the bank is hiding "other" losses in that 7 billion dollar figure.
Kind of like sweeping the dust under the carpet
Meanwhile Sarkozy is calling for new international and national banking laws in France.
Okay call me stupid but this whole thing sounds like a setup, this guy will probably get a slap on the wrist and a small compensation check for allowing the bank to use him as a scapegoat for their losses and allow Sarkozy the political clout and media pressure to pass reform laws. This whole thing was planned from the beginning.
