I need a help here...

My desktop, which I use to work, is having problems - source over heating and I think I'll have to change it (is it possible to change the cooler alone? Coz I think it is the cooler not working).

Anyway, I'll have to work with my laptop and I don`t know in which state (hybernate / stand-by) I must leave it through the night to allow MT4 to run and place my stop orders.

Cesar , you can change the fans in your computer , if thats the problem , about your laptop ,go to Control Panel in Windows ,power Options and you can choose "never" to standby and go to Hibernate and make sure that is not Enable .

1) Yes you can change the cooler fan for your processor by itself, infact there's a huge market for these things because people who want to "overclock" their computers use them instead of the crap default fan that comes with your PC. You will need someone knowledgable to do it for you.

2) It depends on your trading software. If the software stores the info on your side and only contacts the broker at the time, then your machine must be left ON (not asleep or "hibernate" or what have you). If on the other hand the orders are kept on the broker side when you first initiate them, then your client shouldn't need to be working for the trade to execute once the pending condition is realized. Ask your broker.

It's the MT4 and the EA is executed from my computer, not from the server. So I'll proceed as you said gico.

On the cooler, I'll check this out first thing on Monday. Today I noticed the computer restarting from itself and this small of burned plastic, while the top back of the desktop was unusually hot...

I think it's something about the source or the cooler only.
