"Microsoft Tops Earnings, Sales Estimates; Shares Jump 8% After Hours"

Techs were the big drags yesterday. Nokia and MS today, saying otherwise...

To remember this week started with Dow futures -600, recession, citi's bankruptcy, domm, gloom, people jumping off buildings.

Two days after, insurers are safe, jobless claims are ok, "so what Societe lost $7bl", Fed+congress gonna help us out, "recession? what is that?"

I think this fella colluded with the elites that run the globe and will never be found, the timing of this is great for the reversal freefall the market was in as well. Bank covers bad longs sends market for last hurrah, gives who knows because he is part of that elite global ganster ring bourbon bennie a legit chance to lower rates and cause the reversal buying for the markets. Kinda sweet actually. Everything timed perfectly as well with Gann and geometry.Everyone is happy shook the market out big bucks bought cheap and off we go again

Nothing is righto. Sub-prime is still there, bond insurers are in trouble along with Citi. If things weren't as bad they were, we would not have had a 75 basis cut with another cut coming along with the stimulus package that was agreed upon by the White House and congress. Time will tell. For now, go with flow. CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP and every other currency know to man is gaining stregnth against the USD. This crap really stinks. This whole crap is going to blow up in everyone's face in the long run but the big boys don't care. Maybe I should adopt Dutch Traaders motto "take profit early" and "buy Euro's".

Well... but it was time for a rebound... drop too fast. I see S&P going for 1430 before turning down again.

Long at the moment in CAD/CHF @ 1.0740 and moved my stop to 1.0780 so nothing bad can come from this one. Even with dovish statement from BoC it was time for CAD to regain some lost ground. I'll worry when S&P gives a reversal signal again

I'm targeting for 1.0980 on that one, wish me luck

Lately I'm like BWR, take profit and run like hell...

But I do leave a tiny lot to see if that is the way the market is flowing.

A buddy mailed me this recent interview between Katie Couric and US Congressman Ron Paul. Courtesy of a guy by the name of Rick Ackerman.

Details of the “stimulus package” led the evening news last night, providing Katie Couric with an opportunity to sound almost as dim-witted as those who are promoting this fiscal dirty bomb. What will it take before one of our network anchors lights upon the unspeakable truth – that the government’s apparent cure for debt deflation is to go another $150 billion into hock? We know exactly what it would take, actually: an appearance by Rep. Ron Paul on Couric’s show instead of the usual cavalcade of bozos the networks have come to rely on for “expert” economic analysis.


Unfortunately, while Paul may be entitled by Congressional protocol to grill the chairman of the Federal Reserve twice a year, Couric’s producers are unlikely to give him even sixty seconds of air time unless he becomes the Republican nominee for President.


Can you imagine the Congressman ambushing the preternaturally perky, wide-eyed Katie on the six o’clock news:


Couric: Will the stimulus package be big enough to work?


Paul: Work? For sure, if your goal is to destroy the dollar and cheat savers.


Couric: How would that happen?


Paul: The $150 billion stimulus is not being financed by taxes or savings, Katie -- the money would be created out of thin air, causing the dollar to weaken even more than it already has.


Couric: But even so, wouldn’t the spending of that money stimulate the economy enough to avoid a recession?


Paul: First of all, we are already in a recession. But even if the economy were healthy, how would borrowing $150 billion to binge on consumer goods help it in the long run? It is capital investment that creates real wealth, not consumption.


Couric: But consumers wouldn’t have to borrow anything. That’s the point of the stimulus – that it will be in the form of a tax rebate from the government, with no strings attached.


Paul: Where do you think the government gets its money, Katie?


Couric: I hadn’t…well…um…yes…I…well...

fun indeed,...similar setups across the board, several trades running, eur/chf, e/j, cad/j, gbp/j...no take 100 and run (thats not the case, rather go in and let it run)....its PA week!...
