I asked for it and it's not his fault. At the very least he specified that it's the 5 hr setting and no newby should be confused. We're all learning here. Thanks for your concern and clarification anyway.

G/J has been oversold for sometime now, and yet nicotina's still working in some ways.

U/J has just hit the lowest level in 2.5 years at 106.39 -- this would definitely affect G/J, and actually it is, and the effect is instantaneous.

And yet Nicotina does not mind. Just sticking to the system makes it work.

Over 200 pips range today too wide for me. I decided no trade today for this system. Good luck to those who are in as sell entry has been triggered.

UK PRESS: Returns in the UK property market plunged another 3.7pc in December, the largest monthly fall for the Investment Property Databank since records began in 1986, the Telegraph reports. This takes the total drop in returns (capital values plus rental income) since the property market turned last summer to 9.5%, the paper says. Over the whole of 2007 returns slumped 5.5% into the red, the worst annual performance for 17 years

Yes - if different traders track modifications (100 sl instead of 50sl etc) we all can benefit - btw my numbers today are: 208,74 and 210,83 (VTtrader real account) - and if I get different openings as others on this site it is because I am taking +-10 pips into consideration for spread and slippage -

Hello and good day,

I have been using your EA for the past few days. I have had no problems with it.

It seems that everyone wants to optimaize this system and that in itself is a good thing. I for one have no way of knowing how to optimize it, but I hope that a few of those tweaks get pursued a little farther. Thanks for all those involved in the EA and the optimaization.

It appears from my reading that in some years, this system would not have performed well. I am not sure why, but I am wondering if it may have anything to do with the distance between the daily pivot and R1, S1, etc.

One thing for sure is that for 2007 (the reported best year for this system), there was a lot of big movement which means that these pivot and SAR lines were potentially quite a distance apart from each other.

Perhaps those that know how to optimaize can compare these distances when doing their testing and they might find out that when these lines are too close together that we shouldn't be in a trade.

Just a thought.

It also could be that these more volitile times will be here for a while which would be good for almost any system that trades GJ.

Anyway...I hope this was helpful and I'll keep checking back in and monitoring how the research is coming.

I don't think it could be the explanation. Indeed, GJ was very volatile in 2007 (average daily range of 229 p.) and the system worked well, but 2006 had a very low volatility for GJ (154 p.) and still it was a good year for this system (at least my version of it). 2004 and 2000 had the same volatilty (204 p), but the first was good and the second was bad.

I want to Congratulate, you people for bumper harvest of pips you reap with this system. Tks the originator, the optimizers, the coder and the entire forum.
Now, I want to ask you people jublitating 100s of pip, did you use the ea or you manual trade the strategy.

Hmmmm....What is your version of the system? I saw your post a few days ago and it seams that you made a profit every year though some were small.

Would you mind sharing how your settings are different than what is posted on the .doc file.
