bro oghe_klate,

You indeed are knowledgeable trader and know what you are dealing with . Agree this is indeed a good divergence/disagreement between the price and oscillators, it is bearish in nature. Knows when, how and being able to go contrary before others show an experience of the trader.

Since we dont know how many here are sifu/otai (salam ) and how many new friends reading our posts. I just would like to share a few things i pick up from here and there and normally from others who are better and more experience than me. So that more information can be considered before some actually jump into the bandwagon and got slaughtered.

But before i start, just want to stress that I am not an expert in either fundamental or technical analysis. This is actually an opinion from a new friend to another new friend (i hate the word newbie) or a personal opinion from another person trading the market not a trading advice or giving lecture or educating someone, just a sharing. To begin with, i believe technical analysis is all about weight of evidences. Yes, this is one of it. But forming a contrary opinion based on this alone is one thing, and to actually applying it in the marketplace is another thing especially when our money is on the line. Personally, i think its complicated when taking a contrary opinion from the crowd because the need to 1. figure out what the crowd think 2. have a contigency plan i.e. forming an alternative scenario, just in case scenario and 3. identify when actually the crowd goes or already reach the extreme although technical analysis methodology by combining momentum and sentiment indicator works quite well. There are many other reasons why it is difficult to take a position that is opposite the majority (contrarian stand.. we will not go into details).

So I prefer this to be as an alert not a trigger, especially when we are dealing with the crowd that is always correct when a trend is unfolding but most of time wrong when it actually at the turning point. so i would say that better trade when and what the market is giving us, avoid bias, seek confirmation. Here is another picture, hope will give some idea. but like i say previously, price action determines a trend. when it breaks, from observation it will re-test it again or maybe again before continue its direction. Being able to catch this is priceless.

Very nice n meaningful post indeed bro G33maroon and I must admit I agree with u bro . It is therefore we SHOULD consider other timeframe as well to correlate with.

Well, I believe it is not how many trades that count to make PROFIT, but to be in the right direction at the right time could differentiate between doubling (maybe more) or blowing our forex account.

Catching a VERY good direction is easy IF we stay calm, patience and not greedy. ("Amin...")

BTW, there is ALWAYS more than one way to catch a LIVE fish though.

I have installed the EA as instruction and tried F6 which is the strategy tester and the result is not encouraging.... Is there any other setting that need to be changed on the EA itself....its giving an net lost of 25% over 6 month period.

I reckon that the next price to be broken is somewhere around 1.9166 for DT to continue it's journey.

If not, MAYBE what so called HIDDEN BULLISH ENGULFING pattern occurs at TF Daily, which is an alarm for reversal to take action.

Bro, i seldom look at divergence. but if i do, i am looking at rsi. check rsi on daily and the two recent trough in gbpusd, 24 Dec 2007 & last friday. if the last friday's price is not taken out, we may we see some movement to upside. maybe re-test the broken area (my latest picture). if the break failed, it may retrace up to 50% around 2.02xx-2.03xx area (retracement of 50% is normal for failure of such formation). This i think may also apply to gbpjpy.

so if the last friday's price is not taken out, i am getting out at best price or sending a rescue squad for my existing position . BUT if friday price is taken out, we may see a lot more of the downside. anyway, dont believe me too much as i am relying lesss and less to indicators, so this is just a view.

With Meta Trader Platform... if you got Expert Advisor or EA running... you can click F6 to activate Strategy Tester or Back Test. I had tested that EA given by CODOX.... I have change all the variables to different value to get optimum performance.... UNFORTUNATELY I never find any setting that works... never survive more than a year. I tried on all time frame and on all pairs.... none of them survive long.

The best setting I got is for GJ... Entry Exit on QQE and only for H4 chart. Total net profit US$73750.42 with initial Deposit US$5K. I ran the strategy for the whole year of 2007 with 10% Risk. The result very promising.

However, when I back test to a different year, the result was disappointed. Ended up Blowing the testing acc within a few months or just profit only US$1.5k for 1 year trading with US$5k deposit

I guess there's no such thing of EASY MONEY.

My wife got out from the Ward already... now still recovering... the pain still there...

Thank you Nash for messaging me the ALTERNATIVE medication. Right now I am looking for the 2nd opinion to heal my wife illness. She might need an operation to the SPINE if situation get worse .

Hi, Sham, welcome back, miss your analysis. how's your wife? Hope she is fine. Since BOE not cut rate at the moment and US going to cut rate, do u think cable will go up from here. 9580 should be the support ( if i am not wrong), if cable above 9580, do u think is good chance to long now?

Hi Sham, thanks for the details! I am also using QQE and seems that the winning rate percentage is slightly profitable. At the same time, I am combining the sweetspot finder indicator given by Savant (Thanks to Savant!) and found even more convincing with my own MM and Strategy Plan. I am testing GJ on demo account for this week and will inform once a good result achieved!

Agree. They always start promisingly then things turn bad after few weeks or months. 1 guarantee way to win is you have enough supply of cash where u just keep long on GJ and keep it for few years then u will sure win some money. Learn it the hard way or u will never learn anything.

Frankly speaking... till today I am still SHOCK and surprise how CABLE drop down heavily without sign of REVERSAL since the BOE fixed the IR the same :surprised

Technically, the BOTTOM still not reached yet. One of the most difficult part of Trading is... to find out the TREND REVERSAL signal...

The TREND is still BEARISH... easy to tell. For me... to get the hint of TREND REVERSAL ... CABLE need to go up more than 1.9700 area.

According to my chart... Cable can RETEST the bottom support of the CHANNEL or now can be the RETRACEMENT up that might leads to REVERSAL

Watch out for PRICE ACTION.... that's gonna give more hint than doing FA nowadays. Just my opinion for the current situation.

I don't play DOTA... but I played lots of Warcraft III Frozen Throne on the BATTLE NET last time. Now I can't connect to the BattleNet anymore... got to download the new patch. I used CRACK version... with the new patch... I need CD keys that works
