SMA and EMA

Hello!

I would be very grateful to know how to set the following:
365EMA, 200SMA, 89EMA etc. I was looking the 4Hour MACD Strategy and I can't set this EMA's on Netdania.
Can I do that on Interbank platform?

I went to the website and check it out. A membership is needed to dig deeper into Netdania. I could not determine what charting package they offer.

I could not determine by your message if you knew what SMA/EMA's actually were. Have you programmed any indicators into your charting practice? I don't know your experience with this package.

Well my experience are not so long. I started traiding in September and till know I have study the basics (Babypips, Tehnical analysis) and for know I am doing the trendspotting which is trading for longer period, from couple of hours to couple of days, maybe a week.
For EMA (I know that is a moving average and what does that mean) and SMA I am asking because I found the 4 hour MACD Strategy on this forum written by Phill.
Maybe you saw it and I would like to try it. So I would like to set that and I don't know how.

Great reply back.... SMA is the Smooth or Simple (in most cases) Moving Average. Phil has a great system. He is sharing it with good success. There was a scumbag that stole his last pdf that was posted here and decided to sell it on Ebay. I asked Phil if he knew that someone was selling his system and he stated no. It had to be a member or a visitor on this forum.

Not familiar with the charting package your using, I cannot advise you on how to install the indicators. Actually, I did not know that system was even available. I tried to access that website but unfortunately a membership was required. Have you considered a platform such as MetaTrader 4? Maybe download this platform since it is free and test it out? This way you can demo the system. I will then be able to help you with installing the indicators... actually, I can send you the templates and you just install it.

Yes you can send me the template and I will check out. For know I have Interbank, VT trader but I couldn't set this EMA and SMA.
Well my strategyis like this:
I go for example on Netdania or DailyFx and I go on Finance Chart. I open the chart GPB-USD. Then I go on 30 min chart and I go on Studies, Moving Average Exponential and I put 89 and click OK. Then again I go on Moving Average Exponential and this time I put 144.
Now I have a red lilne and a blu line. And I see where the trend is going. But at the same time you must also check 4 hour chart and both lines must be in the same direction. If red is up (on 30 min) and on 4 hour chart the red goes down, then I don't trade.
In this case the trend is too volative and I don't trade. It is more a day trading, one day or two but it is worth. My goal is 50 pips a day.

For know I won't go for intraday because it is risky and I don't have a startegy for that. When I will be more experienced and study more I will try.
It is all about discipline.
