I guess at the current prices there's no much to talk about here, is there? Except that Asia reacted furiously to the NY selloff. In the other way, though.

They may have drunk so much sake on fear that when the market opened life was already beautiful and they started buying :

If you think about it, when Jpy at this high of a price, it's the perfect time to buy high yielders at their low price for investment fund fixing. Since we know the Japanese CB ain't raising rates any time soon, why not lock in for the yield.

Just won a $150 bonus to online poker

Cable pushing the limits at 9650. 2 bounces previously and toppish area by late 2006. After that, 9100 area comes into play.

What your guys' take on this?

Bad data in Europe added to the WStreet move. European shares are down 0.8% to 1%+ already.

AT&T's CEO talked about slowdown in the telecom sector yeaterday. It's pushing all telecoms down, too...

Btw, I have a confession to make

Today, I volunteered to fill in for a colleague in 'Reflection Room' (aka in-school detention), knowing there would be no students in. Scored some major brownie points for it, then took my IELTS materials and pulled my old favorite college trick - took a nice nap while it looked like I was working.

In my defense... there's a flu going around and we all have it, but we're still coming to work

Jan. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Prime Minister Gordon Brown was speechless when asked yesterday whether he would reappoint Mervyn King as governor of the Bank of England, silently nodding toward Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling to repeat the promise of a decision in ``the next few weeks.''


When the time does come, Brown will probably say, ``Yes.''


Brown has little choice but to overlook King's delay in acting on the financial crisis at Northern Rock Plc last year, say former colleagues, economists and lawmakers from the three main parties. They say the political costs of pushing King aside would outweigh any benefit.

I've seen it, too... You know? 2 of them, that I know, have like 2 to 5 posts only. I think it's some guy banned before that gets caught everytime he register with a different username. With IP detection you can run but you can't hide LOL
