DislikedSideways markets like GBPJPY 04-06 greatly lower the probability of success of this system. The problem is, you can't know whether 2008 will be volatile (like 2007) or sideways.
Nico did not have a profitable year until 2007.
For the record, I will never trade Nicotina. It can turn into a death trap without any warning.Ignored
I have no predisposed feelings toward the Nicotina system one way or the other at this point, as I've just discovered the thread. However, for the sake of discussion, you referred to the "sideways markets" of 2004-2006. With the volatility of gbp/jpy compared to other currencies, isn't a 100-pip target reasonable even in a relatively sideways market? With a 2:1 RR ratio, this system will at least stay close to even with just a 33% win ratio (less spreads).
Secondly, did Nico mention at some point that he lost money until 2007 using this system? If so, I missed that.
Finally, I noticed you also contributed to the "Daily 95 Pips" thread. Out of curiosity, do you also feel that that system is a potential "death trap" in a sideways market?
