Morning all...

Stopped out in my euro long of Friday. Euro may be forming that ABC correction in the daily that I mentioned. 43 must go for target 1.40.

I just don't know if I take a short here or not

Seems to be a lil bit out of steam for today.. if 46 hold i think we might see a retest of 47 before heading south.

I closed my short, so I advise you not to. You were late to the party, but don't worry, more shorts will come before tomorrow is over.

Maybe for the immediate run... For the long haul, this fail off 4830 after THAT NFP looks like a top to me.

But I'm not taking a short here.

Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- The fastest-growing bet in the oil market these days is that the price of crude will double to $200 a barrel by the end of the year.


Options to buy oil for $200 on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose 10-fold in the past two months to 5,533 contracts, a record increase for any similar period. The contracts, the cheapest way to speculate in energy markets, appreciated 36 percent since early December as crude futures reached a record $100.09 on Jan. 3.

Here's the solution for $200/barrel as suggested by a guy that KNOWS ALL about oil.

That bike is ALOT more than $200. Looking at all the components I would have to say that bike is somewhere between $2,000 to $3,000.
But yeah I get your point and not just america but the world should ride instead of drive as it would help to reduce the fat ass syndrome.
See previous post and help to save that motorcycle.

but i use EFX and GFT (MT4 and Dealbook360 platforms)....
for GBP/AUD..i trade with EFX as the spreads are variable.....while GFT are fixed 15 pips

...i use simple Fibo's and EMA's to trade this pair...

The Sunday Times "shadow" MPC again voted to cut rates at their Jan meeting, repeating December's 5-4 vote for a further 25 bps reduction in rates.

Britain's building societies could be forced into a fresh round of mergers and acquisitions, amid paralysed wholesale lending markets and with their profits crumbling, the CB I says. In a report
published Monday, the CBI says that confidence among building societies is at rock bottom, having fallen to its lowest level since its polls began 18 years ago.

The Sunday Telegraph:- Fears of a UK housing crash are threatening to scupper the sale of Northern Rock, pushing the stricken mortgage lender ever closer to nationalisation. Any rescue will depend on the Gbp10bn-15bn of funding that investment banks Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland have offered to inject, but they are said to be growing increasingly reluctant to secure their loans against Northern Rock's assets.


Independent on Sunday:- UK Banks are set to contact thousands of at-risk borrowers under plans to stave off fears of a huge rise in the number of home repossessions, the Independent on Sunday reported. The move, under the auspices of the British Bankers' Association, will see banks agreeing to contact borrowers over the coming months, before financial difficulties
turn into a full-blown crisis.

UK PM Gordon Brown again warned that Britain's economy faces a "dangerous" year ahead as he battled against rising energy prices and higher pay awards that he fears could undermine his pledge to "break the back of inflation" However, although he insisted Britain's economy was strong, the prime minister saw dark clouds gathering across the Atlantic, including last weeks sharp rise in unemployment that raised fears of a serious US downturn.

I thought Virgin had taken over Northern Rock? Did Branson chicken out?

Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- The yen fell against 15 of the world's 16 most-actively traded currencies on speculation Japanese investors will send more money overseas in search of better returns.


The currency snapped a seven-day advance against the dollar as banks and brokerages in Japan are seeking to raise 200 billion yen ($1.8 billion) of mutual funds this week focused on foreign markets, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The dollar also rebounded from a two-month low against the euro as technical charts suggested its decline has been too rapid.
