High & Low 8 Hours (GBP/JPY)

Hi everyone, my first time posting on this particular thread. First of all I would like to thank Nicotina for posting this system. Also, I would like to say thank you to Billbss for all his help and opinions, and to every one who has added to this thread. This thread is very addicting. If you have not read the whole thread, I recommend it, as I still am catching up.

With that said, I started a Manual test for 2007. When I was half way done, I noticed I had the wrong time parameters. I live in San Diego, California. I took a break to catch up on this thread. Since I had half of 2007 done, I continued on with my original time parameters. Afterwards, I proceeded to retest 2007, with the right parameters.

Now, I am not pulling a fast one, and I do not know how I came up with these time parameters. Also, I am not trying to tweak this system, it was just an error on my part. This system is fine just the way it is, but I feel I need to share this info. Once again, I have no explanation for these time parameters I just know that these parameters gave much better results than the original 8 hrs. For whatever reason, I used 5 hours instead of 8. Everything else stayed the same. I can only hope that this error in time parameters brings more pips to this system in the future. If anybody can do some further testing, I would greatly appreciate it.

These are the 5 hrs I used: ‘12 (34567) 8.

Here are my results:

ENTIRE YEAR FOR 2007

5 hrs: 11,150 pips

8 hrs: 7,800 pips

Please can you explain what "12 (34567) 8" means. Please what hours did you use in your test? The hours are supposed to be from 1800 hrs GMT - 0200 hrs GMT. Which 5 hours of this time frame did you use for your test?

Thank you for your extensive explanation. It makes a lot of sense. I will try both approaches. I wonder if your 100SL would do better during ranging conditions since the chances of getting hit are lessened.

Do you mean from 12GMT(00AM) to 4GMT= 5hrs?
If not please post the GMT time (Start and finish time).
That will help us all to understand.
