Skunny said to drop down a timeframe. The 4 hour is used widely. Pattern seems to hold here too.

4 hour USDJPY pattern holds here, too. Once the price hit the upper fib target area, it retraced.

You about a month ago I started working on this theory of what you are talking about except I have been using the open and close points.

Brick-man can I suggest that you actually draw on your charts what it is you are seeing as to clarify your observation instead of posting 100's of charts.
Mark the places what you are seeing works and mark where it didn't and mark what fib ratio it is etc

You are doing a great job SB, I sent you a pm. I believe you have an indicator here (by definition) and for now we have an indicator free environment. So, you might get some crap thrown your way. Your indicator however seems to be more of a price recognition indicator instead of a reformulation of data, which I'm interested in learning more about. Thanks for your posts.

Is there anyone here brave enough to post a chart with support areas only. G/U 4 hr starting from the low on oct 22 to current. You should have a farmers dozen or so. The more the merrier

Price entered the low fib projections area - the bottom 2 red lines. Those are the 38% and 62% projections. Price reversed all the way back to the high of the candle of the fib projections.

Price entered the high fib projections area - the top 2 red lines. Those are the 38% and 62% projections. Price is heading back towards the low of the candle of the fib projections.

That it was I see. I am just trying to learn and understand what Skunny has posted, that is all.

I just coded something ( an indicator ) to plot the fib projections. It doesn't really indicate anything like MACD or RSI. I am just "guessing" at the answers while attempting to understand and learn from you. Thank you.

S/R is a good place to start. Don't overlook seemingly meaningless support/resistance areas.
