Got a quick question, how long are the fib "zones" created by the weekly candle valid for? I'd assume only the next week, so that a new zones could be created?

I must be really thick or something. I have downloaded the skunny2 template and applied it on a chart. If I apply it to a weekly gpb/jpy chart i can see the fibonacci exactly as in your pictures. But when i add the template to another pair i do not see anything, even if i choose "show" on the fibo object.

And another thing, on the GPB/JPY chart for example, if i try to draw a new fibonacci besides the one already there i get completely different fibonacci numbers and colors. Because it is the Fibonacci retracement tools im supposed to use, correct?

When you place the template on another pair the fibs are on numbers from GBP/Yen and somewhere around 220 somethings if the chart you put the template on is a currency like the Euro at 1.4's the fibo tool is still way up there on 220 somethings.Just open the objects menu on the chart and view the fibo tool... where you see the levels displayed and by doing so it will make that the default fibo tool and then when you draw them they will come out the same.

HI Skunny, yes indeed our prays are with you, your dad and your entire family.
Although i was follower of spudfibo(intraday fibo),just noticed post of yours on holygrail and followed to bo's thread and really got enlightened with a way i was looking at the market, now i got the additional tool of looking at weekly fibo and short term direction with swing fibo

your exercise on weekly fibo gives more practice to learn

I downloaded the vhand file with the others in there proper locations. Instructions say to open it and compile it. While in navigator, right clicking on it gives me other options but not "open". I tried a few of the other options like modify but didn't allow me to compile. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

Bo or anyone able to lend a hand? vhand that is!

I'll start a new thread tomorrow and go step by step with pictures.

I played with it a little last night and got it working. It's not as straightforward as just attaching an indicator and you're done.

That would be terrific Blueruby! Since many others will need to get the study time it aswell. It's a super idea and one that should really help the thread more foreward without taking up Skunny's valuable time.

Are you referring to starting the thread on Saturday? I look foreward to it so I can utilize the weekend for studing. Thanks bro!

I'm going to be out for a while this morning (I'm CST BTW) But I just want to address the traders that have made comments in the past about "Fibonacci doesn't work" "it's self fulfilling" "if you draw enough fibs it's bound to hit one of them".

I bring this up because I don't want any here to believe this stuff. There are threads here that suggest fibs don't work. Like anything else, if you have a tool you don't know how to use, it wont work. If you don't believe me try driving a 16d nail into a 2x4 of walnut with a screwdriver.

I'm going to post a monthly chart with a fib on it. I just didn't place this fib where it is now. I brought the fib there by a series of previous moves. Now if you look at this chart, do you think there is anyone on the planet, even fib traders, that would pick this spot to draw a fib? Notice how it completed the extensions per it's mission and that was determined 1000's of pips prior.

You see, traders don't decide where fibs should be drawn the price action does. When you learn to listen to the market your fib can be here to.

I didn't add up the pips on this monthly move but I'm sure someone will.

I would never trade a monthly chart, but it's nice to know the info

It needs to be compiled from the editor there on your platform, once you open the editor over on the right will be a list,The vhands ea will be listed in the templates list, the 2 indicators will be listed under the indicators..just click on the + next to indicators to expand it.You double click on the Vhandstrade and the 2 indicators once the editor brings them up in the man view screen then you complile them...each need to be compliled seperatly..there is a compile icon on the top bar.
