DislikedHi Guys
I`m from the UK
to trade this from 18:00gmt until 02:00gmt is a bit late for me, is this the only time this system will work, has anybody traded this on an earlier time?
thanksIgnored
DislikedCould anyone post the the page number that explain the eur/jpy time. I would appreciate it. I will look for it and also the page number for the gbp/usd.
In the mean time I will search for it. Don't bash me. Maybe you do know. It could save me looking through the whole thread again. And i am not lazy because I asked you a question.
If you can help, I would appreciate it.
If not thanks anyway.Ignored
Dislikedhi,

DislikedFor a while I used the window 18:00 to 00:00 GMT, it did work; however I do not trade this method consistently but sporadically so I cannot tell you the performance or winning rate. Forward test it using the above time window and if the result is good let us know.Ignored
DislikedHere is a chart that shows the time window used for the GBP/JPY system.
The chart shown is in GMT.
You must find the time used on your chart and use the bars which equate to
1800 GMT
1900 GMT
2000 GMT
2100 GMT
2200 GMT
2300 GMT
0000 GMT
0100 GMT
This will be my last post regarding the time.Ignored

DislikedMe too, but saaedb has written a brilliant ea to do the work for us. I have attached the copy that work on both demo and live accounts to save you hunting for it. Put it onto a gy 1h chart, tweak the settings to suit yourself and sit back.
saaedb, 1,000,000 thanks for the ea. It took several hundred demo pips last week, so I put it onto the live account yesterday - no trade. Today +20. I happened to be around when the price came close to +100 then fell back, so I set a +20 sl that eventually got hit.

thanks for that downloaded, why the 1hr chart not daily, also I have alerts coming up every few seconds
cheers
sorry forgot, what settings do I need to changeIgnored
DislikedI use the 1h chart because NicoTina's strategy stipulated this.
Settings you need to personalise are things like your lot size, risk margin etc. Have a look; most of them seemed pretty self-explanatory to me.
You can turn of the alarm from the ea's Common tab - enable 'Turn off alarm when hit'.Ignored
DislikedThe system doesn't have a win expectancy. I can't believe you guys drank the Koolaid on this.... what would you have said from 2001-2006?
Most likely, "I wouldn't touch this strategy with a 10 foot pole." Suddenly, a few months of positive results has this thread buzzing..... What is the reason for its success, other than "the charts told me to trade..." What is the real world reason this system works? Why won't it fail? There is no logical answer... it is.... as they say.... fooled by randomness.
So what is the win expectancy? It depends on GBPJPY's daily fluctuation.... which will change without warning. All your analysis on the past few months will be null and void.
2008 is around the corner.... are you guys willing to blow an account based on 1 year of good trades vs. 6 years of AWFUL results? Call me cynical, but facts are facts.
EDIT) My hat is off to Nicotina for coming up with this strategy. I don't want to make it sound like the system will fail. It could go on for quite some time. But then again, it could go sour any day. All I am saying is, I don't see a logical reason for it to continue working.Ignored
