I have a few scalps in on the Usd/Jpy and Gbp/Jpy that are going good at the moment. The more I think about it, the more I think maybe I should post scalping results. Scalping, in ranging times, is an effective technique for trading IF you understand properly how to do it.

Yeah I did. lol I said it in the first few posts I think. I am using The Vegas fib line system. I don't use the exact models like he does, but instead I just plot them all out and work that way with it. It's working fairly well for me. I still apply PA for any trade I would take. I also use trendlines and support and resistance levels. With that said, I'm using the system just as sort of a filter for my trades and it's working out great.

So you are still thinking on trading the weekly Pinnish bar from last week ??? This week is looking like an Inside Bar sa far... and with things the way they are... you know the fed will dump another gazzilion $$$s in somewhere and get things all jacked up again... and the IB could break either way...

Those danged weekly bars just take forever to work out... I had forgotten about this... I will have to look at it again...

It's only wednesday Tiki! lol There's still time for it to come down a bit and I think that tomorrow will be the day. If the daily closes as is or close to it, I am thinking it will be valid.

I have a couple of shorts in on the Usd/Cad from 1.0145, 1.0128, and 1.0117. I think we will see more downside movement throughout the night and into tomorrow. The daily close is working out perfectly and this will only fuel my shorts (I do believe).

sigh.... maybe you are right... but I don't buy it just yet... although your idea does somewhat support my idea that I might go LONG on GBP/USD tonight... I just don't see any daily action that suggests we are going anywhere... we are just stuck at these fib lines... yes, it's only Weds, but almost Thursady, and if we can get a weekly Inside Bar... then I am ready to talk... sigh... tell me once again why cad should go down ??? Do I just not remember, or you didn't really say... or it just doesn't sink in ???

I can't even find a way to draw one of my famous triangles here.....

Man Mike, what , no classes today...??? You've been online all day... me too, but that's cause I finished work early... unfortunately... I may not have much more through Christmas... which has pretty much wrecked christmas... but does mean your journal might be much longer by the end of the year !!!

Hey Tiki, It's based on technicals and now with the Fed dumping money, that's just going to add to, like you said, a crash at a later date.

No classes today here, I've just been studying for my finals tomorrow...which hopefully work out good. It does get boring on here throughout the day too, I'll tell you that much...

To me, the Pound isn't really looking like too good of a setup as we are just tuck in that ranginess. I now have open a Eur/Usd long from 1.4724, along with a gbp/jpy and usd/jpy long. The fact that I think both of those will rise potentially adds to the thought of the pound rising but at the moment, it just doesn't look like the best setup to me.

I'm not sure if I posted it before but I have a long order open on the Eur/Usd and I've also added to my gbp/jpy and usd/jpy longs. I think we will see more of the retracement upwards needed before possibly moving lower. As said in previous posts and different threads (not just by me), we need to see a higher level on the Usd/Jpy before moving downwards. I would agree now to the same for the Gbp/Jpy. 113 does indeed now look like a fantastic target for the usd/jpy, and I would look for a reversal to present itself at that area to bring more downside movement.
