Good Morning Malaysia Rise and shine!!! Huhuhu not much activity on the markets at starting new trading week... except for the CARRY TRADES I was expecting GAP on Cable... but none appeared.

Wow weee... so many people interested in the 1 Week Trading Camp. Interesting Actually I just arrived KL... from Kedah... visited my Grandparents.

USD/JPY Week Ahead
Last week the USD/JPY's rebound from 107.22 extended further to as high as 111.79 which is consider the near term resistance. At this moment the short term outlook is neutral as we would still expect the rise from 107.22 to be held at the current level. On the downside, break below 110.62 support will turn intraday bias back to the downside. Further break of 109.47 support will indicate that correction from 107.22 has completed to retest of this low.
If the pair trade around of the area between 111.79 and 112.16 resistance zone will indicate much stronger rebound is underway. In such case, further rise should be see to outer trend line resistance around 115.91.

Looking back at all charts... UJ seems the only pair that following TA perfectly. It has been 4 days BFD opportunity without flaw. Never break the 30 sma since then

I graduated from Southampton University in the year 2000. My parents couldn't afford it to come They are just "FELDA" settlers. Kinda lonely during the convocation because everyone else were with their parents. However, they were very happy and proud of me from far away... and I am very happy and proud of them for raising me successfully.

30 pips drop on UJ and 60 pips drop on GJ at the starting trading hour on this week :surprised They are part of CARRY TRADES. Very active indeed. I suspect it was "PROFIT TAKING" market psychology as traders closed LONG positions to take out some floating profit plus swaps over the weekends Am I right?

Carry Trades ... traders gaining FAT profit from the swap if they "carry" LONG position for long period of time. The overnight interest rate or swap is massive for carry trades pairs. Not recommended for Muslim :

The pairs got to be high deferent on the interest rate comparison between the two currencies pair. The higher the difference the higher the swap. In this case... Japan has the lowest IR which in only 0.5%. Any pairs with Yen would generate high swap if you have LONG position with it... especially NzdJpy and AudJpy. They are related to "RISK AVERSION" as well. If people are scared to invest money elsewhere... the would invest on CARRY TRADES and vise versa. Carry trades sometimes have correlation with US Stocks.

To study further... just GOOGLE or YAHOO search on those words. Come back to me if you have doubt

I bought GBP/US, didn't realize the spread was 7 pips vs. usual 4. That is sick to have to pay 7 pips. I am in the positive now, but still expensive. What spread are u guys paying without mention of broker.

Mine is increased 1 pip on CABLE... from 4 to 5 pips now!!! :surprised Thinking of stop being a trader and becoming a broker... no matter how.. they win

for me I don't question much about the spread.. just that you got to know when to enter... I don't trade news and I don't try to rationalize the news.. it comes and goes and I'll make my decision AFTER the news and AFTER the floor trader had made their decisions.. and if there is much whipsaw I'll prefer to enter the next day when the news is digested.. It is much more safer to trade at that time..

Broker are there for just one reason PROFIT.. you just can't blame them from trying every possible way to increase their profit.. if you cannot accept the spread then leave.. find other brokers...

I don't think the market priced in the FED interest rate cut already....
The Uk PPI today and US Pending Home Sales would be interesting....
I would expect a 0.25 cut. If FED goes for 0.5 that would be a suicide..
