It's going to happen. If they cut 50, then it's happening this month. And once it breaks above 1.5 and holds, that will be quite a nice support.

I agree, today was a slow day. Couldn't take up any positions. No sense of direction in the market place. I

It's never too soon to get the jump on next week's trading.

Soooo here is the update after the maket close from CBOT on fed rate cut odds:

Based upon the December 7 market close, the 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for the December 2007 expiration is currently pricing in a 100 percent probability that the FOMC will decrease the target rate by at least 25 basis points from 4-1/2 percent to 4-1/4 percent at the FOMC meeting on December 11.

In addition, the 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is pricing in 41 percent probability of a further 25-basis point decrease in the target rate to 4 percent (versus a 59 percent probability of just a 25-basis point rate decrease).

Which is down from the 50% chance for a further 25 BPS cut from thursdays close.

Maybe someone should ask Britney, Paris or Lyndsey ?

Did a google search for Bush's hotline with 800 instead of 888. 8 hits came up - 2 were for posts in your topic.

I dont care what none of you say I am long dollar, based off of the supermodel EA in the trading room thread. If a freaking model starts to sell the dollar I am buying. (of course what don't we buy that sexy models sell?) Sure we may go up to 1.50 in EU before we see the top but lets face it this shit is so well known that supermodels are worried about the decline of the dollar.
SUPERMODELS ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE DECLINE OF THE DOLLAR!!! In E.W we call this the 5th wave then BANG, BOOM, CRASH! We may have already seen the 5th wave (on some timeframe) Its always eaiser to count in hindsight, but lets face it we need a HUGE erection I mean correction (sorry, Supermodels on the brain, blood is not) The funnymentals are showing that this ship is sinking but yet it stays afloat, but not for long.
But of course I may be wrong as I sing this song

It seems like the market might not be happy with a .25 cut......they want a .50 cut????

What is the FOMC to do?????

Seems like .25 would be just like a no-cut????

Could this cause somewhat of a sell-off????

Talk about Bernanke being beat up by the markets...

Cut 25 bps and save the other for a rainy day (next meeting). I think otherwise they may think the inflation buggaboo will crank up.

I'm thinking that they are trying to reverse the 17 1/4 pt raises bit by bit. The one 1/2 pt cut was just to get things rolling.
