But the EMA/BB center direction still bother me. Since I saw some of examples in past posts, you have mentioned about EMA/BB center position we must be care. I cannot understand that why we ignore EMA in this case, but respect EMA/BB center in other case?

May I discuss more about these two?

1. red lag had not moved a inch

How long moves is enough?
Look back the GJ long setup, red lag lay in bottom less then 5 bars then long signal comes, we said this is a valid setup.
But GU red lag has lay down 10 bars, it still not enough to go long?

May I have more example to identify the valid red lag moves?

2. MACD crossover had happened but it had not crossed the Zero line

I am not really understand this sentence. Sorry for my pool English.

The MACD crossover and crossed zero line has been done before 11 bars in advance of the signal bar. Is it invalid? Or, it must be happen in the same time (or behind/after) of blue lag signal?

By the way, what is the difference between MACD (histogram) crossover and crossed zero line? it sounds like the same thing not two difference things? How could it happened but not crossed in the same time?

I am sorry to ask so much question and hope did not disturber your trade time. Maybe there is someone not so busy can help me to improve myself too.

The 1 hour GBPUSD is on a downtrend currently, I think thats possibly why the long trade failed.

Really? it seems my fault because I looked at 4H uptrend channel and this channel has not broken yet. So I made a long bias...

at this movement, the pivot levels are to be used only to guage price action .

If you are looking at the 5m chart, you can see the bias has been short. You took a ct trade. The reason is you are below the daily pivot, 200 ma is above 60ma and both sloping downward. Price has been held in resistance to an upmove at the daily S1 and the weekly pivot. Also, Imran is referring to the red and green lines in your MACD window, not the bars. He is stating that not only do they need to cross over each other, they also need to cross over the zero line/marker in the direction of the trade. I hope this helps.

According to the MACD red/green line, I cannot see the consistence about cross over the zero line/marker in the direction of the trade in many examples. In fact, the red/green line alway cross zero later after the histogram cross. Some time delay 1 bar, some time tens bars, but there are many example marked as valid signal even these line did not cross zero.

For example, my previous GJ long setup did not crossed yet(only histogram crossed), but still been accepted as valid signal.

Would you please give me an example to show the red/green cross zero signal?

Here is a good short example (I also understand it is hindsight). Short bias - 200ma above 60ma, price below daily pivot, middle bol band starting to slope downward, bands widening, price stayed below middle bol band, macd neg, blue and red lag both heading south, stoch neg, and where I circled you have the macd lines crossing thru the zero line in the macd window. All of this taken into consideration makes the trade. As you can see, when everything lines up, it tends to be a very strong move. You don't always need every indicator lining up exactly, but then you tend to also get into more bad trades (depending on your experience level of course). The more indicators line up, the better/stronger the move. Experience and common sense also play a huge role in weeding out bad trades. I hope this gives you some insight as to what to look for.

Imran, please let me have your comments about my question on post 4911 and i also notice on your post 4930 on the chart your

macd is 12,26,9
lg1 is 0.60 and lg2 is 0.80

I think we all are using macd 12,20,9 and the lgs as 0.55 and 0.85 - so which are the correct ones.

Another thing i need clarification on is, i am in the est time zone and the meta day changes at 00.00 - my charts still show the same DP as yesterdays levels. like yesterday 8.00pm est level is same as now 7.00am est, is this correct or it should change daily?
