Hey Guys,

I have been checking this system out for the last week, must admit i do like it a lot. Here is my trade today on cable (30min chart)

MACD just turned back above zero, LAG coming up from 0.15 and momentum crossing over zero - target was just below R1 at 2.1100, a lovely 80pips

Hi..

Can anybody custom or modified the signaltrendfollower3e ea with below exit strategy?

Using 2 Slope Direction Line, 20period and 34period.
Exit half when 20period changing color, move stop loss to break even.
another half will exit when 34period changing color.

This is my strategy for manual exit, and please forward test it.

Im new as a fx trader and as a reader and member of this forum!

I met this thread just a week ago, and Iinstalled the 5mintrenfollow system.

I found out how it s amazing and in my very first (real) trade i gained 30 pips in few minutes. Great! I'm reading all the thread pages (now i am at page 40).

So , as a starting , i want to thank in particular THE WICKER, PMURFIN (did he disappear btw?) and THE WOLF who mainly shared their know how with us.

Well , I'm going through to this, and I hope i'll read many interesting things more.

I'm conscious that as a newbie maybe i had only to read and think about this subject..but i noticed one thing in these days; i'll tell u in few words if someone want to check it:

in 30 mins TF when u got an arrow signal and soon after that signal is confirmed by the slope changing color (according to the signal obviusly) - but it happens too that slope changes and the arrow confirms it soon after -well, in these occasions, i see u have a very high percentage of success and i mean consistent success (in term of pips gained).

( I know that this is not dealing with basic rules of the system)

Anyway, am I a fool or what i say has some basement ?

Congratulations on an excellent method. It has stood the test of time and peer review since you decided to share it in the community for others to benefit from. Well done. I look forward to trading it and learning it. One thing I did not find explained in either the rules or the thread was the use of the volatiility bands present in the template. Any suggestions?
We can see an increase/decrease in volatility from the compression/expansion of the GMMA; so does the volatility bands provide some other function?

Got stopped out on my first trade on this system. Setup was ok on g/j but then reversed the bar after I entered and then continued till it stopped me out.

Yes! Please remember that the GUPPY/Multiple Moving Averages are responsible for 50% of the system. Look where the MA's are and how they correspond with each other! The guppy is the most important indicator, then the others follow equally.

here is an example of a trade i tried on usd/cad earlier today, everything looked to be going up but it reversed, did i miss something or just a bad trade... just want to check to see...

Hi everybody. Thanks Wicker for this nice system, I really like it.

I have also studied a bit the 30 min. charts and like how they look; however I have noticed in the particular case of 30 min. charts, that the slope signal + macd are more relaiable than the rainbow and the laguerre all together, I mean, if slope red, and red arrow, is a nice down race in most cases, and viceversa, slope blue and green arrow, nice uptrend, no matter if rainbow is in bearish/bullish mode or the laguerre position, I don' know if somebody else has noticed this, or it's just coincidence in the candles of last month (the ones that I had checked in some pairs).

I would like to have some comments about. Nice trading.

spotless thanks for your comments but i realize that i put the wrong trade up, the preivous trade was from October!! i have sense updated the pic, what are you thoughts at this time. Thanks!!! (the trade is the brown line down the middle) ~21:05
do we trade over R3 or under S3? and if we do , then what is the exit strategy for this cases...

I'm glad that this trade worked out for you but this is not a perfect signal. The slope was still red and short term traders were not quite on board with
the investors (long term traders).

Humm, I retract myself of what I said, I made a longer term test with this theory and the results sucked, there was still a little profit, but nothing really worthy.

Anyway, I'd like to know if somebody is still trading the 30 min charts with this system and the results.

Well, I have also looked 30min TF but the stops were too big for my taste on that TF. Plus, I trade 5 pairs on 5min TF and get about 15-20 high probability trades per month. So imagine how much you will get them on 30min TF - maybe only 10. I think 5min is really the best TF for this system. Of course you can look for confirmation on higher TF's but it's best to enter on 5min.
He disappeared... Did he start trading live, and run off and buy an island somewhere??? Anybody know what heppened to the EA he was building???
