Hi John, (and Steve!) thanks for the kudos. One thing you might change is the setting of the AlertPipRange which is set to a default of 2. If you wish you can set it at 0/zero and once the price moves away from the exact trend line there will be no more alerts. The defaul will keep sending out an audio alert/email as long as the price is +/- 2 pips from the trend line you have drawn. Since i like to sometimes sleep with a pillow speaker hooked up to receive my TLineAudio alerts i will set it at +/- 5 or even 10 pips... that way the audio alert is sure to get me out of my slumber! But then if i'm reading here at the FF or a trading book...or watching a movie with my sweetheart i can have the alarm go off once in the room and i'll go to the charts.

lol.... yeah, MT4 provides alerts on certain price levels, never thought of using it on SRDC level I, it should do it..... accrete's solution provides flexibility to alert on tilted trend lines/channel boundaries (level II), that's a huge plus.

I haven't used the indicator yet but rather alerts in MT4 and I find a baby monitor very useful. If and when I'm away from the PC when the alert goes off you can still hear it.

I don't know about you, but I am still learning how to draw proper trendlines, and I found this article pretty helpful.
If you have any other resources, please share.

Steve,

It's a great link. Good info on drawing a trendline.
I think it's good to draw the channel manually as it gives us a chance to practise.

Thanks.

Hi All,

I know most of us in the Teamspeak room agree that the current 1 hr channel starts on 20 Dec and should be pulled to the start of today 28 Dec (aqua channel). Has anyone pulled a weekly channel from 26 Dec until 28 Dec (blue channel). Accroding to the manual put together by Henry we should pull a channel each week. Has anyone else done the same?

We went more into the 6th 15 minute candle today. The significance of this candle is still an inigma to most of use. It might have something to do with there are 6 episodes of star wars and the last three were produced first....who knows?

1. Any way we drew a trend line from the "peculiar" candle to the 6th candle on the 15 minute gives us an idea of the high for the day.
2. We have a very strong support at 1.9560..we are looking for a break to the downside.
3. Due to the fact we have only had a 30 pip range to our high, price tells us that we have another 100 pips to go. More than likely to the south.
4. We are entering quadrant one at this time..but strangely, we are moving sideways which seems to always be from the darkside, what i mean is unpredictable and scary.
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...5/dec26160.gif
"peculiar"-refers to the small bull candle before the big price action and twin tower we see the day before. There is no hard and fast rule to the identity of a peculiar candle. So if you do not understand that one, well join the club.

I just install the alarms.
When you get the blue line, click over it until you get three small squares, you move them to handle the line and place it over the line you want. Thatīs all.

But, I donīt know how to set up the e-mail sending function.
Please, Accrete tell us how to set up this.
I guess we have to tell the program where is our e-mail program, the address to send, etc. But I cannot find this within the indicator, opening it with MT4.
If somebody knows, please share it

Thanks

Paco

Well done jest !!

U brought another way of looking at 2230hr candle.

I've learnt one more new thing.. yeah !

I tried this method of 'X' trendlines at EUR too... but not sure if i make it up.. but it sure point very near to the top/bottom.
The future depends on what we do in the present.

Hi guys

OR great thread, thank you,I have learned a lot because of SRDC.

I have a question about confirmation of the trade.
OR mentioned somewhere that when a price goes beyond the chanel you look on 15 min for confirmation of a reversal IF it goes back in the chanel.
Does it have to be only open in the chanel or does the hole new 15 min candel have to be formed. This example is happening right now in real time GBP/USD but I hasitate to go short becouse I am not sure about confirmation.
Also the EUR has gone little bit further and signals clear brake for now.Anyway this is my interpretation,I would like to hear from some seniors of SRDC.

Also the 15 min CCI is short but 1H and 1D is still long.
Thank you

And Happy new year to everybody,i wish you peace and health

I guess it fell short
Later on went up more, and suddenly collapsed
Why?
Now it seems it went back to the channel of Dec 18
And it s going to the median, but it seems too risky to enter long
