hello, I have just started using metatrader4 now from oanda.... and liked the function where u could set your stop loss and a limit eg 30pips or 1% of your total balance.on every trade(automatic). but I cant seem to find it in mt4. I would like to set every trade to risk at 1-2% of my balance..
I thank you in advance...

That's a bit of a backwards way of doing things... setting a stoploss at x% below buy is pretty random. How do you know that stoploss isn't going to be just on the wrong side of a support line? Except when you are trailing a stop you should always have a reason for placing your stoploss at a particular point (e.g. it's just below a support level). If you don't you are just rolling dice... If you want to always risk x% then place your stoploss then use that to work out your position size. i.e. position size = risk amount/(buy-stoploss). Doing this also has the useful side effect of encouraging you to take good entries because the closer you can get your entry price to the stoploss the larger position size you can take for same risk.

max risk = $1000
buy 1.1050
support at 1.1030
stop 1.1025
1000/(1.1050-1.1025)= $400,000 max position size.

if you hold out for an entry at 1.1035 perhaps after waiting for a bounce off support:
1000/(1.1035-1.1025)= $1,000,000 max position size.

I found this spreadsheet in FF. just ahring it again.
You will have to do it manually for now till you get the special script from someone.
