First of all, I'd like to thank you, Jacko, for your wonderful trading advice - I've got all your teaching posts printed out and in a file, and am trying to incorporate your wisdom in my own trading style. I feel a bit disappointed that you are now changing from offering advice on trading style and method, to offering a signal service, which I have always thought of as a way for wannabe traders to avoid the hard work and taking responsibility for their own decisions. Last Friday, I saw your post about Newton going short the euro at 1.4185 - and it completely threw me. There were no reasons given for this, and I stupidly let it stuff up my own trade going long. If you have trading methods that you can't or won't share, that is ok, and your right, but please have pity on the rest of us who respect you and listen to your words - don't just drop portentous hints, or even post hoc entry/exit points, without some explanation so that those of us who want to learn to trade by ourselves can truly learn instead of just getting the fish for the day.
I don't even have any problem about you charging for your help - it is just the type of "help" with its focus on signals that I found disappointing.
I hope you will continue to help the rest of us who follow this thread, with your comments on how to trade, and your comments about the markets, and your intuitive comments about pullbacks and levels - as long as we can understand something of your reasoning.

personally i would be amazed if half of the people who subscribed to jacko's signal service would be as successful as jacko in terms of trading. While jacko certainly calls very reliable entry/exits, there're much more than just entry/exit in trading. Unless jacko also tells them his stop loss, position size, take profit if he uses one, how to deal with emotions, what to do if market goes wrong, etc, i would expect at least half of these people fail even though they all receive the same signal from jacko.

hmm while i was writing this post I started thinking, how many of these people have 3 or 4 brokers and can execute trades as large as a couple hundred/thousand contracts effeciently?

A couple of points:

1. It is not a signal service

2. Of course I expect to tell them my "stop loss, position size, take profit if he uses one,"

3. Of course I expect to help them with "how to deal with emotions, what to do if market goes wrong, etc"

4. I don't expect ANY of these people to fail.

As to failure......well even some of the turtles washed out, but I believe Jacko's strategy is even less complicated than that of the turtles system.

and I think if anyone follows Jacko's teachings failure is NOT an option.
even the info given here at the forum gives people a winning edge if followed, but people have a tendancy to look for the greener grass so they just can't resist "optimizing" a system......

As to a signal sevice ..... Jacko is not going to feed the apprentices fish, he is going to teach the apprentices to fish.

I have just received a very pleasant?? email from one of the more aggressive posters here. Basically this 22 yo non-trader demanded that`I email all my trading statements because he wanted to have a look at them.

I suggested that he review the thread on another forum where we all traded "live time" (so that if anyone tried to fudge the numbers, everyone would have nailed them immediately).

When I started putting the mechanicals into custom homes in southwest Florida in 1997, I was EARNING my trade. In the end of my tenure, I was on the top of my "game" and had transformed myself AS the custom builder. Simply put, I had humbled myself and took some very meaningful pointers from teachers much more learned than me, and transformed myself. Is this offer any different in premiss?

I started trading RAW futures contracts in 1995 when there was no such thing as "demo" accounts to newbie traders. You jumped into the water with CASH to learn this business. WOW... That could definately hurt! Mini and Micro accounts...GTFO! We kept paper charts on a day to day basis, and if you wanted to keep up with a moving average indicator or Stochastic, or whatever,........ Find the appropriate formula, do your own math, and plot it your self undernigth the advertisements on the chart!

Point being is... this trader, Professional Trader now mind you, from April '07 on this forum, has made himself available for conversations, advise, bullshit, and now often times ridicule, for the sake of us less gifted/knowledgeable traders' engagement in hopes of fine tuning our own trade. In hopes of calling this endeavor of mine to post on my 1099 at the end of this trading year "CURRENCY TRADER," I will without thought or question "donate" the USD$500 to fine tuning the ultimate passion in my life; that of a carreer trader.

I have been lurking in the shadows of this forum for many months, simply because what I would have said was already posted and didn't want to clutter the thread, or I was just taking the knowledgable posts in and learning. My trading has already improved from these insights. I am DEFINTELY looking forward to this endeavor.

My God, I spend $500 in four months drinking coffee (no kidding). Spending $500 to be able to talk with Jacko and learn what he knows is a bargain. Many people are penny wise and dollar foolish.

coffee is bad for you, so I'm sure you made a right choice with that $500...

I was just curious if you will ever reveal the counter-trend strategy, and if so, when? Hopefully soon because I am very anxious to see how it works and just the different idea.

I am also thankful for jacko for showing us how keeping it simple is the best way to trade. I was stuck trading on lower timeframes, which was very stressful. It took me 6 months just to become profitable with one trading technique. When I realized how easy jacko was trading on the 4h, I switched right away. It hasnt been easy, but I can say I am learning pretty well. Anyways, I dont want to bore you so I look foward to your response.

Jacko doesnt hide anything. he is not that type of man. if you trade with him you will see everything. he is completely open in his trading, or he has been with me. anything I have asked, he has answered.

looking for new points to enter a trade, i was stopped out from the last long i entered, and now wait for the 50pip A-H move.

also I am watching the following points

1.4130 50% fib from last run up
1.3920 50% fib from last major climb
1.4050 supporting TL

any views?
