I truly doubt it shrike...they said their new website had to be in place before anyone could trade--and I don't see any changes on the website yet--yet again, more delays...ah, but things take time. I haven't even seen screenshots from anyone yet to see what remote trader looks like...so I'm doubting anyone has any. pk

I've read the last 10-20 pages, didn't find what I wanted...
I know the schedules,but I'm more interested in whether or not it will have tick charts and 5 sec charts (I'm a rainbow man).
Also, project Omega means Execution + charting in one platform ?
Money for nothin' and pips for free!

Thank you for the help. Proxifier worked with the logging part but I cannot connect to the order server. It says "Error : the proxy server 192.168.2.1:1080 cannot establish connection to 216.52.236.111:7000" Is that because it's Saturday already and their server is down? Or is a problem on my side?

Halfway through the release month and still no word that Remote Trader is up and running--starting to wonder if this is a recurring pattern--any word Justin about the actual date of Remote Trader start? pk

Hi, if you connected to perms than the rest should work also. And yes, the order server is down on weekends.

Justin wrote that it will work with Internet explorer but with extension can work in Firefox. It sound like the operating system does not work.

Hopefully they won't change that because I want it to work in my computer and I don'T use windows.

Sometimes the release of a new system runs into unexpected delays. (in all aspects of life). I recieve an email from Justin and things are still moving along. They are still waiting for a thing or two, but the project is still foward.
I am hoping it will be an excellent trading tool will can all use.
Let's give it time, and keep trading as we were until this comes out.

But I think we're all getting a little antsy! I have to jump through so many hoops right now to trade with EFX--Using Ninjatrader for EFX EUR/JPY chart feed with my live EFX account on Navigator which resets to default settings every time it's closed...just a bit of a hassle I'm hoping will get resolved--we watch and wait...pk

I have not traded with Ninjatraderat all. I was using FXTrek thru EFX, but due to change in my trading style (rainbow) I am using Oanda's charts. The prices on Oanda vs. EFX is so close, it works fine for my scalping.
I do hope they (EFX) will have a good charting option that will accomodate the rainbow, if not, I will continue to use Oanda.
Not sure what you mean the Navigator resets to default settings everytime it is closed.

I used to use Oanda for Rainbow trading, but couldn't get over the fact that it was slower than the Ninja charts and I could see a bit of a difference--I like to trade reality...I still have quite a bit of money in Oanda--nice %, so trade them every once in a while, but am concentrating my efforts on my EFX account. Never could get that watch Oanda charts and trade Navigator down. It's just a bit disjointed for me--didn't like seeing chart price different than Nav feed. And there were several times Oanda just didn't seem to move while EFX did--I've seen opposite happen too. Oh, well, we're relegated to waiting...As far as reverting to default setting, you have to open Navigator within Ninja--it comes up as a single window with 8 tabs for fx board, alerts, balances, etc. I take off every default currency from the fx board except EUR/JPY so as not to get confused (I need all the help I can get when it comes to using Nav. I do other things too, like setting green = to 0 spread, etc. If Ninja closes down due to a window glitch or other malfunction, I have to restart--and when it restarts, I have to go through all those changes again. So the end result is--still looking forward to remote trader...pk

I understand now. And yes, we must wait. I think this week they will start some people on the beta. Did you sign up for it? I recieve an email that I responded to, and recieved a response to expect the 1st trial this week.

I logged in to my (still unfunded) account today to check out the new navigator version. Apparently they let you view the complete book now (not only the top 10 entries), and banks started to quote in fractional pips again.

As a novice trader I find it difficult to get my head around the order types.
Why oh why cant they just have the simple takeprofit and stoploss feature all other platforms seem to have? This normally comes under a simple right click on your postions. Instead you have to set opposite trades to sell or buy the same qty and then be sure to close a stoploss or takeprofit if it wasnt hit as its now acting as new order.

I want to open a live account with MBT because I find in their demo version execution is excellent no other broker can compete in my experience thats obviously if the demo is a true replica of the live system. Im more than happy to pay a commision and save a pip or 2.

But currently because of the difficulty of understanding the platform orders I simply cant go with MBT.

If you could pass on a suggestion to the developers of the platform to include a stoploss and takeprofit option on the menu for open postions, rather than just the close postion It would be sweet and an account history with won trades and lost trades and a few staticsts would be nice also.

I had trouble understanding the stop limit order until I took a live webinar on the advanced orders. They put up a diagram that helped me understand perfectly what that order was. Many other platforms are just too simplistic compared to this navigator platform.

Choice is yours but I just wanna warn you that don't go with EFX Group, I have many problem with them and I am looking for another broker.

Reason is Too much spread during News time and they take both ways which is you would not notice that. And this Sunday 15 of October 2007 at 4:00pm to 8:00 pm their platform was shutdown but I did not know that and at 5:45pm there was a NZD News CPI q/q and it was solid moved 60 pips very easy moved but I tried to enter bothways stop market just 4 minutes before but it does not act nothing I did not see any numbers and I closed even in 2 seconds but they took my $7.00 it's not much but they suppose to pay me all 60 pips moved, it was solid move no conflic I called at mean time and the dealing desk operator was so rude absolutely no polite he just said it's gonna be ok and hang up, and after 4 housr they fixed their problem and I called again but they try to ignored it they are definately money sucher very big SCAM which is I hate.

I just gave you an example but there are too many error on their platform and they take commission whatever amount they like, they don't follow what they said on agreement. SO THINK ABOUT IT

Yes I was in a trade this morning and the platform suddenly shutdown. Luckily I had a stop in, which runs through the server I think. When I tried to log back in, it wouldn't load my account for over 10 minutes. I'll be looking for another broker myself, maybe Tradestation.

The platform doesn't operate as a deal desk does. It is an order based system, which is what the market should be, which is what all other markets are. From what we've seen, you might want to check out the new Omega platform at EFX for easier interface. Should be released shortly.
