There's no doubt the trend is your friend, but it may also be your worst ennemy! Else why 90-95 of traders lose their money even if following this basic rule?

Well I think one of the reasons is what we are living these days. A faked manipulated up move pushing the buying power to the max before a fatal correction down taking all stops with no merci before a fatal up with enough power to break 1.43 and take again all stops with it.

This is the Big Dog (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=48909) manipulation I talk about in my thread and if you want absolutely to follow the whole trend you should only buy a 1.43 break or the bounce in the 1.3850 and 1.35-36 region following Jacko Anti-hedging strategy.

Meanwhile I made yesterday 116 pips selling the EU. I posted all my trades live as they were happening explaining the reasons of my 'counter trend' behaviors.

My advice for all, follow the trend but beware the 'Big Dogs'!

Lol,

I know macro economic fundamentals too. But I dont use them in trading. They are a lagged indicator just like EMA, MACD, etc..

And by the way, in FOREX you never know what happens next!

I have recently read the story of the Turtle Traders, which I have known about for years but have just revisited, and was motivated to see if anyone wants to learn from my experience.

Newt (Newbietrader101) strongly suggested that I do it.... Mark was much less effusive. I expect that most people will say "yes, thats a great idea"...but then do nothing. Newt believes I am VERY wwwwrong on this.

The main issue was how to sort out who wanted to be serious long term traders, rather than those who were just saying it. (therefore the cost component....which will barely cover the cost of one year of international SMS anyway).

I intend continuing to post here as I believe that this is the best forum on Forex on the internet, and I will also continue to outline my trades but they will be delayed. I am also assuming that all of the other traders will also continue to post here and verify any of my statements in the posts.

As I have said above, it may all come to nothing... but if it does work out the way I hope that it does, then we may have a really solid core of serious trend traders.

as far as I know, the turtle rules are now offered free on the Internet. But most people can't trade it well, just like any other systems. The turtles use a long term strategy, i think they originally used a break out system.

I dont want to be a shill, but truly, meeting Jacko was the best thing that I have ever done. even countertrend, I scored 4 outta 4 using their advice.

Listen, seriously, everyone..this is going downhill fast.

For a fact: jacko's made some really intriguing "calls", market turn predictions, whatever you want to name it.

Had he simply offered private tutoring for applicants based on their own merit/effort/application and left out any sort of MONEY, then this all would not have happened.

As it is, I'm starting to fear this will get out of hand, names will be called, jacko's going to get annoyed and in the end everything's down the drain.

I'd rather not have that.

Personally I can't explain why there suddenly needed to be money sums involved just to prove involvement. There's more to commitment than the money purse imho, but alright. There's also other problems that will arise from this, reputation wise(why on earth even think of arrangements requiring cash / in terms of a signal service if you are trading dozens of lots per pip and so on), and since that was such a big concern to jacko I don't get that part, either.

I still think going from everything I've read and seen that it's highly likely he's a nice guy/good trader etc pp and all, I'm just clueless why there had to be this money / SMS / signal side at all.

I really don't get it.

I'd rather we just get on with the "normal" stuff.

best if all those seeking help and advice will just exercise a bit more 'self-control' so as not to ruin this great thread. me included........

the students should ask earnest questions and not make unsuitable comments ?

FF has always seemed to me to be the most civil of the forums out here and this thread, in addition to being extremely helpful, has thus far been remarkably free of ego-based acrimony. I hope it can continue in that spirit.

Though I consider myself to be as committed a trader as anyone else, my current financial circumstances preclude participation in anything that costs money. I hope Jacko continues to post here as well as in his new thread - he has helped many of us more than he knows.

I fully agree with SeekingLIght, Findcount and Lou.

Personally, I am not yet competent enough to ask serious questions and I don't post often, so I don't clog up the forum. In time I hope to be able participate productively and help other newbies. Nevertheless, I am dead serious about trading. I am dead serious about making a living out of this. However, I can't afford the fee to join, and even if I do, I am not sure the big accounts Jacko is trading is going to help me with my small account.

As others, I hope Jacko will continue to provide us with his wisdom in this forum.

I wish everybody all the best and really i think its ok what jacko has decided. I hope that everybody will just accept it and let go the frustrations. The hard thing in forex is that most newbies is teached from books, forums etc whatsoever i have an ego all have some kind of an ego and the ego is hard to deal with espacialy when we dont have a teacher to tell us we are wrong, doing the wrong things etc. I think what jacko want is trying to help and teach people no more just that simpel. so what jacko have given here is straight out and simpel but he knows the fundamental trend and thats is my problem the fundamental but im trying to learn it! so if people fucus on the fundamental trend, focus and trading jackos method with good equity managent im pretty sure they will sucees in the long run and make pips :-) instead of being frustrated of jackos decision keep jackos method alive and trade happy trading all

I am just a follower of this thread, i don't really post because I haven't had anything to add to the discussion (If more people adhered to this rule, this post would be a lot less cluttered.) I just have to say something now. I am not a sucessful trader yet, but I am well on my way. As I have been on this mission I have run into all sorts of people, some that i feel will be sucessful, and some that I feel will never be. What makes a sucessful trader in my opinion? Someone who makes a trading plan - tests it out - works out the kinks and then the most important - Trades that plan and takes only those trades that are within those guidelines. If you are forcing trades because you just want to trade (my biggest problem to date) then you will never succeed in the long run. Jacko has done nothing but offer advice and shown how simple it is to trade the trend and come back time and time again despite all the posters that make nasty comments and now even feels he needs to validate the time of his posts. It is sad that people even feel the need to post up..... If you dont believe him and think he is full of crap, go read some other thread and don't come back. If you are one of these naysayers, I think you are just bitter because you can't seem to make any money and think that if you can't, no one can. I personaly know quite a few people making a living trading forex and I am going to join there ranks someday when i can become a more focused trader. Now the point: Jacko absolutely needs to charge for his service... It will separate the people who are serious and want to truly advance and keep out most of the people who just want to try to grab on to the next free ride. $500!, it is only $500!, this is sooooooo cheap I cant beleive you people are complaining. Go sign up for a basic course from investtools that will get you nowhere and see how much that costs. i am personally not signing up for Jackos course, because i do not trade this way, but I feel he is offering a great opportunity to 10 people that could definately be life changing for them if they choose to listen and follow the rules. PLease quit complaining people! his offer is out there if you want it, if you don't, then carry on. If you chase him out of this forum with your bitterness then we all lose his insights and discussion. I will never understand why there are people like Jacko that feel the need to help other people - But I am thankful that these types are out there or I would be nowhere in trading right now.

Thanks for your kind words.

I have no intention of leaving. I am looking forward to keeping everyone here up to date with my little group's progress. (And they will keep me honest if I try to post dodgy numbers, because I will effectively be trading “live time” with them all looking over my shoulder and explaining things that I see).

I may, subject to the groups approval, post trades here after they have been closed out. But it will be their decision !!

To the present, I have had just under 20 respondents. (We still have space for one or two more….LOL……….Sorry, I couldn’t resist that !!!)

However, they now have to back up their commitment to this industry, and their “business”, with cold hard cash. It’s a bit like trading…sooner or later you have to step up to the plate and take a swing. Otherwise is just an unrealized opportunity.

It will be interesting to see how many of the respondants are really serious and committed. As I have said in business many times, "When all is said and done, there is always more said than done"

However, I have given a commitment to ALL the current respondants that they will ALL get the information for the full 12 months.

I hope that, in time, there will be small strong group of successful trend traders here to help others.
