As I posted two and a half hours ago:


"This last rally from yesterday afternoon has put on 400 pips and so far stopped at the Weekly R1 - 240.35. It has also completed a good (IMO and subject to Zoran´s confirmation) Bearish Butterfly pattern and thus should fall. Lower momentum on several TFs supports this. However, Daily Time Lines give an HSSH day due on Saturday - so active from tomorrow till Tuesday - thus a higher high is still expected although this should not exceed the WR2 at 241.79.

So, despite the falling momentum and completed pattern, the trend is still up and should be respected."

Its great when price hits one of these pivots to the pip and turns....now its at the 5m 200ema, how far back will it bounce?

I'm still thinking down but it's going to take time. I have lots of short entries waiting but I wouldn't like to see it go higher than 240.5 otherwise I might have to reverse my suit.

Looking 150 pips on the short, but ready to close before if I see a serious retracement up.

Dow is giving us shorts a hand, so far!

Hi Islander, Thanks for your analysis. If the butterfly has a B point at 78.6 then I think karmo already posted it.

The one I posted with a B point at 78.6 was for EJ 1h chart.

The GJ 4hr/D bearish butterfly has the point B at 88.6 on my chart.

OK, not sure about the 88.6 one.

Anyway, I knocked the bulls on the head with my wedge. Lets see if it worked!

I thought I would throw in a possible leading indicator regarding the impending stock crash.

Here is dow jones industrial average (DJIA) and dow jones transportation average (DJT) plotted together during the internet crash.

you can see both indexes peaked together in May of 99. They then diverged and DJT started down. It wasn't until 9 months later that DJIA began it's real crash.

Here are the indexes today.

Once again, you have dual peaks followed by a divergence. If DJT doesnt set a new high, I think we will see a repeat of 1999-2000 very shortly. With the poor numbers being seen in container shipping and consumer sales, there is very little chance that the transportation index is going to be setting a new high.

LOL, I guess that we´re both using Zup 69 and getting the same patterns, but darn it, I missed the EJ one, instead I posted one of UJ! I guess you know where to find my posts, so I wont clutter this thread with too much off topic analysis and charts.

Well it still can IMO. I personally will not be considering a short unless brice breaks through the cloud and then possibly even 239.00

238.65 is London Daily Pivot .. Until the price pass through that level.. there wont be a 15min strategy short trade..

At the moment, if you look on the hourly charts this looks to be just a retrace from the last move upwards. It's gone to the bottom of the retrace so I am personally thinking of buying this when the hourly candle closes. It will be closing with indecision by the way.
