And when you say 4 units - you don't literally mean 4 GBPJPY units? 4 Oanda Units? 4? (Somewhere below 0.1 cent per pip)


Good luck with the journal, I have found these can be quite helpful.

Btw, it seems your probability approach gets very close to price action patterns as others have already noted...it's also sounds a bit based on a thought like "if price is going up, it will probably go up a bit more until it says that it reverses"

Which is a good thing..

I have subscribed to this thread early and have been following your trades ever since. Thank you for making your thoughts available in a personal journal - while others seem to be inclined to keep everything for themselves.

I would like to see and understand more. Did you not place any orders during the week from the 1st - 5th of October?

Thank you for the encouraging words... I went through a terribly diffcult period, was busy with calculations, thoughts and other threads, plus my work.. So I just simply will add my last weeks trades later... Also I have made the final transition to the daily/weekly chart. Unfortunately the last week made me some very important lessons... One of the is that daytrading is a highly dangerous and risky playground... Especially if your broker decides to increase the spread to 20/30 pips wich killed my positions straight away... But this is just 1% of the whole picture I have learnt...

The brokers seem all to have gone crazy these days. I am a bit bound to the MT4 platform myself and Metatrader seems to put forward one little gadget after the other to make trading more profitable... for the brokers.
Rumour has it, that they sold a procedure that will slow down the reaction time during news by 1-4 seconds and will leave all at a loss that are in or try to get in or out at newstime. That is proably the reason why the spreads happen to jump just at the news and not 30 seconds before as they used to.

Well I do not like trading news. I have always lost my shirt and other things. So possibly will not affect me. Also I do believe that extensive day trading and scalping is good for the brokers and not for the traders. In the long term. Time to time you can be OK but in the long term... It is like a damn roulette where time ti time you can get a good series but at in the long term the casino will win because of the zero. Same true for the brokers where they gradually wipe your account with their spreads...
