Not at all. Those Hor lines only gives an indication to me of the overbought/oversold levels. When one zooms in and does not have them on you can see a tiny RT just below the 15level as a real oppertunity which can be false. That is all why I have them there.

So you recomend to use levels 15, 30, 45 etc. on every currencie pairs yes?

Hi Philip,

I want to seek your clarification on the MA's used for 5min chart. Earlier setup is 21/10 ema and 50 sma. But on your 1 hr entry at fxtradeblog,you seemed to be using 21/8 ema setup on all charts. Can you please clarify which ma is more accurate to use?

This is a 4Hour strategy thread with different moving averages as the 5minute system which is totally appart from this thread.

Your entries as on the graph is not in harmony with the 4H MACD rules. See Page 482 and Post 7221 for a complete rhythm cycle and where to anticipate high probability trades. See also page 289 and on from post 4335 for 13 lessons on this 4H MACD system as a summary and introduction.

Homework!!!

One file is for the 4 hour charts on the EURUSD from Jan 1 through the 1st week of October and the second file is the 1 hour charts for the same period. The idea here is to print the charts out and make handwritten notes on the MACD patterns and how price reacts to the moving averages. This is a good exercise to train your brain and with the method. I'll update these at the end of the year to have full calendar year of charts....

Hey Phillip, I was talking to you on Friday about the eur/usd. We talked about having patience and waiting for it to move back and close across the 21 then moving back to the 21 for the entry contining the up trend.
Would you consider the big news bar that closed above 21 (with the big tail) the move away. Then the next bar comes back to the 21 and closes. Could we look for the next bar to be the entry? since the macd gives trend contiuation pattern. I guess need to see how it opens up on Sunday. What are your thoughts?

Phillip, on my chart ( I am using metatrader4 the 4hr candle with the long tale and the next red candle both pierced the 21 ema and the big green tailed candle closed above it.. Why did your chart look different?
