Hello,

This might be in front of my nose but I can see it.

What is the methodology of inserting the lagerre indicator?

I have downloaded the file ,I have enter it by copy pasting in the indicators folder but it doesn't show up, when I try to insert it on the chart.

ps. No oanda doesn't have in the platform the lagerre indicator.

ps. No oanda doesn't have in the platform the lagerre indicator.
I will attempt to help you although I just learned MT4. I can only tell you what I did.
1. Save the indicator to the indicator folder.
2. Shut MT4 down and bring it back up.
3. Go to Insert/Indicators/Custom...
4. The Laguerre should be shown in that list......select it
****If you want to do better you can save the template intothe MT4 template folder. Still do step 1 & 2. Pull up a new chart in MT4 and then right click on it, select Template and you should see the template name listed. Click on the template name that you saved and the chart should transform into the chart that Imran is using.
*** If you are already this advanced in MT4 and have tried it unsuccessfully then someone with more experience may need to help you.

pip spread on TS is a joke for GBPJPY...6 pips on std lot...

Can we have a tpl file with leguerre setup ready?

The template I have has stochastic only.
Any other ideas how I can make the leguerre indicator to saw up?

Make sure in the indicator properties (common tab) you have tick "Allow DLL imports". Hope this help you.

alternatif help ( but almost the same m.o.)

did you put the laguerre indicator in the indicator map in your mt4 file located in the program files?
After a reboot from MT4 klik on show, navigator and you must see the indicator on your left site. Select a new chart on a time frame , left klik mouse on the laguerre indicator and hold the left klik mouse. Drag it in the chart and relaese..................
If succesfull you can initiate the settings of the indicator

Yes it was in front of my nose and almost drive me nut.

I had tow platforms.Working in Interbank metatrader and pasting the lagguerre in metatrader demo.

So case closed.
I am watching the 5 sec oanda charts , I have a feeling that if we combine the two systems(linuxtroll and Imran) together we will hit 90% success rate very quickly.

Today with the stochastic indicator I had many successes.Tomorrow I will test the laguerre.

Is it possible to make in mbtrader a standard SL of 15 pip with your order and program the profit and trailing stops with one button order?
Do you have a link with the webinar?
I think Eur/jpy is a better test bed and it has lower spreads.

you can also try g/jpy on 5 mins..works like a charm even with 8 pip spreads

just make sure that both the lags are agreeing to the price action and ur 30-50 pips are guaranteed

yep follow Imran's rules its not bad,one does need other indicators to make sure trade going good,pivots,fibo etc. My euro pairs are 1 pip for most on the spread,its the Asians Aud,jpy cost bucks,plus there is a $5 RT fee for TS

Hi Imran,

I like this system very much, though I think there needs to be more filtered applied, no more, to get rid of the noise and choppy market conditions and then overall I think this is a winner, but not too sure what indie can be applied... hmmm :/

I'm like you, do not like to many indies on a chart.

any programmer who can program alerts for the laguerre pls do get in touch with me or use the rules setup in post #200 and make some alerts and post here so we can test it out

Basil, you can use the 5min time frame to test g/jpy , its got fantastic votality and can make tons of pips on that timeframe if spread is high

1 min trading has lots of noise and only those who are on g/jpy or any other pair for atleast one year will know where support is and where it will zoom up, so if u want less noise , use 5min timeframe, its best for all time and for all currencies and also use the EMA to filter out noise

adding more indicators will dilute the simplicity of this method, keeping a tight SL of 15 pips always helps in those times

Imran you noticed how Laguerre .55,if overlapped with candlestick,one can allmost hit entries and exits??Just a thought...
