I lose track of the Major Pair Interest Rate, since the recently most of the pair has changed their interest rate,

i still remmeber USD--5.25%, GBP--5.25%, JPY--0.5%, etc etc

anyone could show/point me to website to clearly display all the interest rate ?

the reason i asked , i'm thinking of doing CARRY trade .

Though if you want the best numbers for carry trade, I think you have to look at BBA LIBOR O/N. Not too sure where you find the daily ones though, perhaps google will be your friend.

after blown off 3 live accounts within a years ,
i think i'm at STAGE3 now as share by DIALIST ,

that;s why i decided to "PLAY SAFE" BY DOING carry trade for long term,
seems like NZD/JPY is the best pair for CARRY ,


strategy ===
for every USD1000, will opened 1mini lot (200:1 ---400:1)
assuming the the swing against me is always less that 1000 pips ,

do this for long term and compounding ,
example take GBP/JPY (just example, some might not agree...)

capital USD1000, 1minilot , 400:1
margin ===USD50
swap ===USD2.5/day
1month===USD2.5X30==USD75
1year===USD75X12==USD900

So with USD1000, 1 minilot, after a year the amount will almost double ,
for simple calculation , assuming at the end of 1 year SWAP===USD1000
so the $$$ double every year

1st year====USD1000
2nd year====USD2000
3rd year====USD4000
4th year====USD8000
5th year====USD16000
..
..
..

so base on this simple example, we can double the $$$ every year,
i built this model base on MUTUAL FUND, where everything must play safe and concistent and long term ...



any inputs guys ?

If you really want a killer carry trade- the ultimate would be Euro/Turkish lira
This is a friggin ATM trade, I don't know if any broker other than Oanda makes this pair available. It's best to wait until this carry takes a bit of a bullet then short it.

ya, i saw that in OANDA ,

but till now i never heard anyone CARRY TRADE that pair ,
and i never heard anyone using OANDA to do CARRY TRADE

and take part leverga ===25:1 ....


if we could find TRY/JPY ===that would be even better ....
any suggestion ??

I know a broker that does TRY/JPY and many other try pairs... are there restrictions on mentioning brokers here? I seem to remember reading it somewhere, I dont want to break the rules :-)

this lets you see what you will be charged or what you will earn.
for example if you held 10,000 units of USD/TRY for 24 hours you would earn 3.1643 in intrest

then taking the 400:1 and use GBP/JPY would be a better options ....

where are you getting 25:1.........
Oanda has 50:1 if you want it......
taking 400:1 is a hiway to hell.....

if you can't make a profit with 20 or 50 to 1 leverage what makes you think your going to with 400:1?

HIGHER LEVERAGE is mean to use for MARGIN purpose, so we can have more $$$ to survive against negative swing ..

example, USD1000, 1 mini lot GBP/JPY

leverage 25:1 MARGIN require==usd800+, free margin left ===USD200

leverage 400:1, Margin require==usd100+, free margin left ===USD900

i know , MM is very important ,
as long as we know what we're doing , leverage shouldn't be a problem

I stand corrected.......
however Oanda leverage has always been ok with me and I see no need for more......just personal preferances.
I only trade the majors anyway.

The easy workaround for this is to synthetically create any cross by trading equal percentage-weighted positions of the underlying majors.

You can use the "legs" to create a pair. Short the same % of USD/TRY as you long of USD/JPY. You can do this with Oanda because they allow single units. So 8,302 units vs 11,231 for instance. This removes almost all the exposure to the USD ... equaling TRY/JPY with only 1-2% of total position exposure being USD.

i checked through SAXOBANK for TRY/JPY

it's only available to STANDARD account and above ,


seems like the only option is still stick to OANDA

and using the "LEG" method ,

we can have EUR or USD base... using 100,000 unit (100k)

using EUR,
EUR/JPY==LONG
EUR/TRY==SHORT


Margin Lev. Interest
EUR/JPY 2817.2 50:1 12.3699 4.0/0.8
EUR/TRY 5634.4 25:1 48.2323 4.3/16.75
TOTAL==8451.6 60.6022 net=15.65


using USD,
USD/JPY==LONG
USD/TRY==SHORT


Margin Lev. Interest
USD/JPY 2000.0 50:1 10.5636 4.65/0.8
USD/TRY 4000.0 25:1 31.6426 5.20/16.75
TOTAL== 6000 42.2062 net=15.4


USD based used less margin, but get less SWAP
EUR based used more margin, but get more SWAP.

i try to search TRY/JPY in gooogles...
guess what ?
this THREAD APPEARED in the 1st page !

and most of the info are in JAPANESE , i guess many japanese are trading this pair, since i can;t read Japanses.

i believe this pair, TRY/JPY must be very profitable .

so guys ,
anyone has or is doing very well in this excotic pair ??
the volatile ?
same as GBP/JPY?? (worse swing , dropped 1600pips within a week)
