Actually, looks like the 28th of September could be the reserval date. It's the last trading day of the month and falls on a Friday.

Now, I'm only experimenting with this so don't put too much weight on it. Look at the dow cycle. Price seems to reverse on the lines (except the last one was one day late). Charts attached.

I'm waiting for a short signal since the price is below the daily pivots now. I have to get my Daily fix of 250 pips. Only 60 pips more then I'm out

For now.. yes.. UK CPI lower than forecast - rate cuts already being talked about.. so pound is in a relatively weak position.

I figure if US PPI comes out bad (which is expected) pound might blip up a bit.. and then slowly drift down. But I'm waiting for fed rate decision (& statement)

Due out this week earnings for Lehman, Morgan Stanley, and Bear Stearns.

Expected:

LB -5%
MS -12%
BS -41%

The full brunt of the sub-prime troubles are not expected to be fully reflected
in the profit reports till 4th Q.
