Yeah, the yen really took a nosedive after that Japan GDP report last night even as the Nikkei was tanking. Might see some 113-14 consolidation range for a few sessions but should drop again on weak US retail sales Friday.

Cocoa. $27, over less than 45 days. {Back in the 01 days [Sept 11 actually]for those that care to research.} It was during this Trade that I was on the Phone Line to a pit runner in the WTC that I still, to this day, do not know if he survived.
Yeah, that's my biggest winner. Timing sucks. How TFck do you think I feel about it?
Mixed emotions to say the least.


Filled my Order and went home is how I like to think about it but I know that's not what happened.

Wow... I can see where you would have mixed emotions. But, to me, as a trader, it would be no different than if I was in a different profession on the phone with the woman who was sitting at the window when the plane hit...

Just nothing you can do.

I know a guy who made a lot on 9/11... he gave a large portion of it to charity...

You are very correct on the fundies I think. There is no doubt the market is experiencing liquidity problems that will hamper carry trading, and given the worries about the dollar interest rate in the coming weeks I think the Yen is going to ultimately gain some ground. Having said this, I am going long for a very short term 80 pip sort of trade. I do not see a top formation forming on the daily (rather I see a bottom) and the H4 is even more bullish. This is also a statitical/standard deviation trade.
