I would really appreciate some sincere help!

Could someone here on the forum who already has success with proprietary trading desks suggest a functional strategy for scaling with prop firms and making consistent withdrawals? A strategy that isn't discretionary, meaning it doesn't depend on subjective analysis, but rather on mathematics... Or even an expert advisor with proven success rates with prop firms?

learn the basic first! when many do it it would not work at all!! they would just block this and the traders!

It is unlikely anybody will share their special sauce recipe. I have some success with developing my own algos, but I would not share the code, even with my own family. You need to get down to the basics, learn how to code at least at some level, ProRealTime, although it has limitations has an easy language to start with, watch the training video, read the manual, look at some examples and get cracking, watching live price feeds manually is also very important, learn how to develop ideas for signals then learn how to code these ideas and test them. Good luck with your quest.

There are people who share signals and information, but there are also those who will do everything they can to make sure you don't earn anything and just give up on the idea of trading.

Actually, I already have my own EAs, but when you apply prop firm rules, they obviously don't pass! That doesn't mean they aren't profitable, though... I also have the know-how to develop my own. But I’m tired of seeing internet gurus claim, "This strategy made me withdraw X dollars," only for it to fail when put to the test or subjected to rigorous backtesting. Contrary to what @Mandariin thinks—that I’m asking for "free money"—what I’m actually asking for is "a path to follow." There is no such thing as easy money in the market.


But the worst part is that the market is full of people who don't actually make a living from trading yet still tell you what to do—and what’s the end game? A course, a prop firm discount code, or a mentorship program. In other words, instead of solving your problem, they monetize it.

its a good sign when your EA dont work in prop gaming company and works very good in real live account . prop gaming creates rules to destroy your edge to make consistent money from this ..... darwinex better for you and real trading account!

for prop firms like FTMO you need a very clear understanding of the risks you are taking, they have very strict drawdown rules, if your strat for example depends on increasing lot sizes to recover losses you are unlikely to pass the challenge. Darwinex allows you to trade as you wish and it adjusts the risk dynamically. I use Darwinex, which is very serious and a real path to AUM, I'm also working on some FTMO 1-step challenges, 3% max daily drawdown and 10% overall, it's tough but not impossible to have something that perhaps makes 2% a month within those criteria

I've had success using breakout/breakdown EA with strict risk management (e.g., risking 0.5% per trade)

have you found 2% monthly realistic on FTMO 1-step with those drawdown limits?

I have passed audacity ability one yesterday at london session later on during US session they sent my credentials, now I'm funded with them, even though they sent formal warning on my trading activities .l will report again on payout after 14 days.

In my opinion it's very much so doable. And even more doable on the 2 step challenges! But ofcourse, one needs proper risk management and control of emotions. Risking just about .5% on average will net you 2% net depending on your system and edge in the market. Having the 7 profitable days on a monthly payout cycle is where the issue lies and obviously can't just make 3-4 great days to withdraw the payout.

There's a lot of factors into play and that's why it's more so if your strategy allows it rather than if it's doable

good to know it’s doable. The emotional part is the hardest part for me

It is for everybody gang. Unfortunately the stats tell you the same, needless to say, only a fraction of people who treat this ( props ) like an ROI game and understand that account retention at funded is surely a goal but not the match winner do profit out of it long term ( at least from my POV ).

Also emotional management doesn't mean having no emotions like a bot; you're better off coding yourself an EA if that's what you want. Emotional management is HAVING emotions and knowing when to apply it and when to suppress it

Well said. The challenge is not making profits. It is staying profitable while respecting strict risk limits. That's what separates consistent traders.

I'm still in the challenges, I have a very good handle on the drawdown potential for my systems, so for me probably yes, it will take some months though
